However do check when your test period is - it's usually 8 weeks ENDING the payday prior to the 15th week before your baby is due, ie 25 weeks, so it would start around 17 weeks for 8 weeks. Check with HR. Don't go doing nights in your 3rd trimester unneccessarily! I hope this makes sense!
Thank you for this. I have just checked my maternity policy and you are right:
"Your maternity pay is calculated on your earnings using the 8 week period immediately prior
to the Qualifying week. The qualifying week is the15
th
week prior to your EWC." I think that will start in October, I'll speak to my ward manager. She was going to put me on all nights and weekends in December!

I'm so jealous of the bump photos. I just have a bloated belly that gets worse as the day goes on.
Good luck with the house move Kerri, don't over do it!0 -
I over-did it yesterday, had intense pains across my stomach right underneath my ribs above bump. I think it was from all the bending down and standing up. I was in tears
I think I forgot that our stomach muscles are stretching & splitting. At first I thought it was my IBS but I wasn't bloated and my abdomen was soft. OH wanted to take me up the l'opital, but I refused and just slowed down. It stopped when I finally got into bed. Just a few boxes in the bedroom left today, the MIL is coming to help and I'm going to start the cleaning.
18w todayOH was lying in bed watching tv with me last night with his hand on bump and she was wriggling away for him, felt like she turned over at one point and he went "woah! you're going to *love* that when she's a bit bigger" (sarcastic tone lol)
Hope you're all ok, I'm working from home today as cold still raging on grrr. xxDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Happy new house Kerri! Make sure you take it easy today, it's so easy to over-do it but try to just organise things from the sofa with a cuppa!

:hello: I have been lurking on the TTC thread and the less than 12 weeks thread but I am ready to say hello here. I had my dating scan the other day and I am now 13 weeks.
My bump is huge and I have felt a few baby fluttersTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Welcome to Rummer, are you exactly 13 weeks? I'm 13 weeks 4 days so we're close!
Happy new house Kerri! It's so much fun thinking of how to decorate, not too sure it's as much fun actually decorating lol
I've got quite a bit of roast beef in the fridge waiting for me at lunch, must be slightly anemic as I've had the biggest craving for it! can't wait to devour it lol
I'm feeling tingles every so often but could be gas but i reckon i'm not harming anyone thinking it's my baby moving so i'll carry on thinking it as it comforts me that he's still growing xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Welcome Rummer
TL - I wouldn't care what others think, if you think you can feel baby move then you maybe canI was feeling flutters around 13w, and OH felt baby move last week a few days after MIL said it was too early for even me to feel her. Some people are more in touch with their bodies.

The second person at work has asked me if my baby was planned! Seriously, what is wrong with people?! I said to him 'Why do people ask me that? I'm married, I'm in my late 20's, it's not like I had a one night stand and the condom broke!'
At what stage of life is it expected that someone would have a planned pregnancy?!
