Lol; me too. It's the only purchase I've made (I'm only 6+6) but it just looked like such a good deal and the reviews were really good I couldn't resist... looks like it's sold out now though!

Yay! Mine has been dispatched to store already!

Lovely to see yet another TTC graduate over here birdie :D

Lovely to see you Birdie :)

TL - All your regular checkups are done at the GP surgery (or surestart centre depending on how the practice operates) so if you call and just ask the receptionist to book you to see the m/w. Easy peasy. Remember to take your notes and a urine sample to all appointment and you will be fine.

Is anyone else in the middle of a storm at the moment?

Vic - I'll be using the same bouncer we had for DS. Total god-send. He spent so much time in it to behin with and when he wasn't in it, my dog would climb on it! Haha, I think she was trying to feel included!

Lily thanks, I shall not bother the community midwives again :) we've had hailstones! Hopefully it means a drop in temperature, I've hated the heat at night

BigZ have you seen the Nuts In May blog? So pleased it's worked for her :)

I have :D I'm half holding my breath for her for a few weeks tbh!

Dh felt baby kick for the first time the other night. He welled up instantly, bless him :A I get regular movements and kicks now, every late-evening - so reassuring :D

    Hey birdie!

TL - I agree re: the heat. I've never been a sunworshipper and I am hating it! It's a bit daft that no-one tells first timers about how to book appointments and things. I think clinical staff forget the simple things sometimes.

Zippy - That's lovely you're feeling so much movement. And very early for your OH to feel it too! I bet he was over the moon :) Mine have sort of stopped recently :( I'm very keen to find out exactly where the placenta is and to see if she is measuring a bit more on target. I was looking at my pictures of my pregnancy with DD and I had such a lovely neat bump at 18 and a half weeks. I'm not sure i don't just look fat with clothes on! My belly button is so stretched already though...DS keeps pointing to it and asking "Whats that?" Hehe

    Hi Ladies,

Long time since I posted. Just got back from a 3 week holiday so need to do a lot of catch up reading on this thread! Hope everything is going well for you all. Congrats on the team pinks I have seen so far. I will hopefully be finding out my little beans gender next Friday. Cannot wait :D

Question for all who have felt any little kicks yet. When did you first feel it? I am 19+1 and not sure if I am feeling little tiny kicks here and there, or if it is just minor cramps/twinges or my mind playing tricks on me. Is it possible to feel it at 19 weeks?

    Thanks x

Welcome back Lippy, hope you had a great time on holiday; and lovely to see you here Birdie!

I think it's finally sinking in for DH and myself that we're having a little girl... everyone else has been so excited and I must admit a few purchases have been made - I've managed to limit myself to a few things, but MIL and SIL have apparently been 'shopping' :rotfl:

ETA: Zippy, I'm very jealous of your OH being able to feel movements so early! I've felt a few (very slightly through the abdomen) but they've not made an apparance for DH yet... He's excited (and a little scared, Alien is his favourite film!) to feel movements so it's a bit frustrating.

I will try to put up some pics from the scan later but I'm reliant on DH to reach the scanner for me, I'm way too short! Also found out I have a low anterior placenta, so hoping that moves before the next scan when we return from hols.

At the beginning it is more like popping is the best way I can describe it. It's like little bubbles in your stomach not proper kicks. Then slowly it increases until it feels like little taps from inside. At the very end it feels like the baby is trying to get out!! :rotfl:

And yes you can feel from around 19 weeks sometimes later. They say you feel it earlier with your second, but could be I know more what I am looking for.

I keep saying I look more "who ate all the cake" rather than pregnant ;) I know, it's really early for dh and me to have felt! He hasn't felt it since though. :)

Littleun seems to wake up for me just as I get in bed. I'm 16+6 now but have felt bits of movements since almost 15wks (very early, but I have a condition where my nerves are hypersensitive, so could be due to that?). I didn't declare that I've felt it for about a week, just that I thought I'd felt it - it does get more definite with time though :) Hth :)

It was more luck than judgement. Most of the time he gets the timing completely off and gets bored quick ;) I've only felt it on my hand once and it's my belly! :p

I've got the midwife in the morning...hoping she'll get the doppler out and we'll get to hear the heartbeat for the first time :D
