I know :( I am annoyed as my due date was the same as your but because the stupid sonographer worked out the wrong EDD she's put me back 2 days and now no one will change it! I know it isn't the end of the world but if I go overdue by 2 weeks again that'll be 16 days!!! Love your first baby item :) so cute!! *hugs* for pregnancy insomnia, I am a bit like that worrying about silly things then the regular loo visits don't help either! x

Why am I awake? Lurking on the pregnancy thread has reminded me to tell you all to check any rings you are wearing. I've had to take off my wedding and engagement ring as I've come quite close to not being able to get them off. Replacement cheapie sliver ring bought (3 ring sizes bigger) as I would hate for my real ones to have to be cut off.

This is a very good point as I was in a hot waiting room a few days ago and I suddenly felt my fingers feeling numb, I noticed my fingers had puffed up and I really struggled to remove my rings. They are off for now but my hands look horrible without any rings, I like your tip about a cheapie ring I might get one too!

Hope you are ok Kerri x

  • Thanks Vic. Good point about the rings too. Mine have been on my necklace for a while now, asmy fingers swelled really early on, but I was unable to find similar dress versions at the right price, so I am wearing the nearest 2 rings that I have, which although not ideal, I guess is MSE! Quite funny though as from a distance it probably looks like I have an enormous engagement ring now, the nearest solitaire that I had was a silver & 2ct light blue topaz...lol . I know what you mean KScarlett, my hands look & feel odd without anything on that finger now...my gearstick has a metal trim, & I never noticed how much my rings tap it when I change gear until I took them off.

Good plan about the M-I-L Kerri, I live next door to mine, & lovely as she is, I'm dreading the moment the 'advice/indirect criticism' threshold breaks, as I might explode. :-s . Hope the IBS settles. I thought mine was back the other day, woke up in agony, but hoping it was just a lack of fibre....sorry if that's tmi.

Need to go & get ready for my appointment in a mo, just wanted to share that we got our screening letter today : 1:10,000 , so feeling better about that. Not sure what the consultant will say about me being 5kg lighter than I was at 5.5wks though, but it's not like I can help it, have been doing everything that I can, & frankly as long as bean is ok, it won't do me any harm to shed a few pounds. Hopefully they'll understand.

Hope everyone & their beans are well xxx

Thanks Ladies :) IBS has settled and I'm baking/cooking for tomorrows picnic. Just stupidly dipped my finger in the choc brownie mix, forgetting I shouldn't eat raw egg. Oh well I'm sure it's fine they were super fresh eggs.

Mazzarati - I wouldn't worry, I've been losing weight throughout my pregnancy, but sticking around my usual mark. It's too hot to eat, even the cats are off their food. Hope the appt. goes ok :) xx

Mazz - Don't worry. 5kg is less than a stone but it depends on your BMI i guess. I would have quite liked to have lost that much! Hehe

Vic - Sorry, I got confused! My mother has suffered with IBS for a long time and you're right, it really is a miserable condition. Hope it doesn't bother you again during pregnancy. That little outfit is cute and enjoy London!

Kerri - Baking sounds good. Raw brownie mix sounds delicious!

I don't think I will need to take my rings off and it will be cool by the time everything really starts to swell. I've got tiny little fingers (I) and there is a bit of give in my rings anyway.

I've put on about 10lbs when i was weight at my scan but some of that will be ahem, waiting to vacate and i'm drinking like a fish and really bloated so I'm not too fussed, i shall just have to get a personal trainer after birth! lol

my sister bought the baby a blanket which i thought was very cute, although she is insisting it's a boy as she wants a nephew lol

DH is doing his CBT (training to ride a scooter) tomorrow and it's all day and i want to go shopping! i could drop him off and go by myself but then who will hold all my bags lol i'll just have to shop doubly hard on Sunday :) x

What is everyone up to today, it's very q on here.

My sciatica needs to do one!!! I've been having pain in my left bum cheek. I went to the doctors on Friday and all they could do was give me co-codamol or for me to take paracetamol depending on how bad it was! If I take the co-codamol that's more pain relief than I had in my labour with DD!

TMI, but I also have a bout of thrush which is driving me mad!

I took my rings off ages ago, but they were a bit tight anyway as I never lost the baby weight from my 1st pregnancy. I'm not weighing myself this time as it'll just upset me!

Hope you guys are out doing something fun
