  • Hi, could I join you lovely lot please? 13+1 today according to the scan on Monday, which has moved the EDD forward a day compared to the EDS at 8+4, to my mums B'day - 30th Jan, (but of course baby won't be on time). I have an appointment with the consultant at 13.50 today, so should probably get some sleep now. Hope everyone is well? xx

ETA: That's a rotten thing for M-I-L to say Kerri, even if she was thinking it. xx

Why am I awake? Lurking on the pregnancy thread has reminded me to tell you all to check any rings you are wearing. I've had to take off my wedding and engagement ring as I've come quite close to not being able to get them off. Replacement cheapie sliver ring bought (3 ring sizes bigger) as I would hate for my real ones to have to be cut off.

I've just woken up too vic, IBS is playing up after eating doughballs last night :( Was lying in bed distinguishing between the gas in my tummy and the definite 2 kicks. I am now going to avoid all conversations with the MIL about the baby moving in my tummy as I'm still a bit upset by it. Dad is coming up for a visit first thing in the morning, he's riding from Bournemouth to Anglesey on his motorbike with his friend who is going back to Ireland, looking forward to seeing him :)

I hate being awake at silly o'clock but I fear that pip is preparing me in advance! Ignore MIL- you know what you can feel. I was feeling little kicks at your stage too!

I also have IBS, but haven't had an attack since the first trimester really. It's a miserable condition to have.

I really should have known better than to eat a load of bread before bed, it's my worst trigger food. Rarely had a bout of it this pregnancy, but then I stopped eating wheat and most dairy long beforehand.

Soooo glad it's cooler again, although woke up cold (?!?!) so had to grab the duvet that was relegated to the chair in the room at 5am haha.

Hope you're all well today and bumps are behaving :) xx

I eventually got back to sleep, under the duvet, but woke up boiling hot. It's actually hotter here today and the sun has returned.

    Morning all.

Kerri - Ignore your MIL. Unless she has suddenly taken on your body she can not possibly know. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter whether you are feeling movements or whether it's just wind. Tell her to wind her neck in.

Vic - Hope your IBS calms down and that you got some sleep.

    Welcome Mazz :)

My mum called me yesterday to say she'd picked up a few things for my son and for baby which is nice. I am really really looking forward to her being here. 18+4 is half way, must remind myself of that. I've no doubt it'll all start going very quickly come September when I start my course.

Anyone have any plans for this weekend?

Thanks lily. I haven't got IBS at the moment, kerri has. Hope you're better today both x

We were going to go to London tomorrow, but going to give it a miss looking at the weather forecast! Anyone doing anything interesting?

My IBS has calmed down this morning :) thank goodness!
I'm spending the day [STRIKE]working from home[/STRIKE] cooking food for the picnic I've arranged for OH's birthday. We're having it on a patch of grass right next to one of our favourite bars down Cardiff Bay. His nickname is Princess, so I've got Princess candles and bunting :D I am the worlds worst chef so most things are on sticks, however have just realised I have no plastic serving plates to take the food over on, oops!
