Glad you have had your mind put at rest Lily. Now get on that phone and complain about that b1tch you spoke to yesterday!

I just saw the most lovely GP in the world. She said my cervix is a little bit open, but what I can feel is a collapsed pelvic floor muscle and a slightly prolapsed vaginal wall! Nice. Atleast it isn't anything to worry about.

Once you have had your first baby the cervix never completely closes.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Nice to see you here teamlowe
Please could I be added to the list? My edd is 28/01/14...

As for me, skipped work this morning. Had a bit of a fall out with hubb last night- both just tired and irritable. I think the roller coaster of pregnancy feelings has got to us both! I would like him to make more effort to get home on time so he can do more to help at home, he sees no problem with working an extra two hours unpaid coming home late and is fed up of being told what to do.... Ended up with me going to bed at 9pm in tears and him making a point of not coming to bed, eventually falling asleep on the sofa. I woke at 1am and got him back into bed. Exhausted today and skipping work this morning, we made up before he left for work. I might go in this afternoon if I manage to nap this morning. I am just still exhausted with pregnancy, and a bit overwhelmed - how long before I can expect the tiredness to lift?!

Hi, can I join? I had my scan yesterday which put me a week ahead, so I'm now 12+1 making me due on 5th Feb.

This is our first, so everything is new to me (and very very scary!) It still doesn't feel real yet despite seeing the baby wriggling and waving yesterday! I'm suffering from migraines but they seem to be easing a little, I was getting them daily whereas it's more like 2-3 a week now.

We broke the news to most people last night but I'm going to visit my grandparents today to tell them face-to-face. My Nanna is going to be so excited, I can't wait to show her the photos!

Yes, I know. She said it was more open than it (ideally) should be.

Vic - The GP wasn't going to do anything as i hadn't had any bleeding or worrying loss so I just need to mention it to my consultant on the 6th and to the sonographer who does my 20 week scan.

Wow, the list is getting big now!

Fran-o - it does get better, OH and I were at each other for most of the first trimester. Things were really stressful as he was finishing his degree and with my hormones too. Then we found out we were pregnant around 7 week mark and I think things started to calm down around the 14weeks. We still have the odd spat and I end up in tears, but he's out of the house 12hrs a day which doesn't help. But honestly when the hormones calm down it gets a lot easier in the 2nd trimester, I feel a lot calmer and able to deal with his gnarliness at the moment, which is really odd as I'm normally the first to get angry.

Faerie, welcome :) telling grandparents is exciting. OH told his Grandad a few weeks before he passed away and feels he left him with the best news ever especially with also telling him he passed his degree. Unfortunately I didn't get to tell mine but I know they'd have been really excited for us, we're thinking of naming it's middle name after one of my Dad's parents as a nice gesture.

Teamlowe - hope you had a lovely birthday yesterday :)

AFM - lots of internal stretchy feelings last night which were quite uncomfortable and a slightly bigger bump this morning. For some reason I thought pregnancy would be completely painless and you'd just feel kicks and movements lol. How did I think the bump grew? Went to the dentist yesterday and he filled in my 2 front teeth that had chipped, can't get over how straight they now look I love them and all for free on the NHS :D That's what I pay my taxes for.

Hope you're all well today, I'm into the office for a few hours then coming home to pack up some more of the flat before we move next week xx
