Kerri that does sound likely, my DH was a foul person to live with when he had a long commute and was out of the house for 12 hours a day. Once he got a new job he was much happier with and with a shorter commute he was his lovely old self again
Argh! just had a phone call from the estate agents, called last week to ask for an update on the chain, voicemail says 'just to let you know your vendors and the people they're buying from are both happy with the suggested date of mid september'
WHO SUGGESTED IT AND WHY IS IT MID SEPTEMBER! THAT'S AAAAGES AWAY! AAAAAAAAAARGH!
Blinking house buying. i'm not doing it againLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Well it certainly feels much nicer and fresher here after a night of heavy rain. The thunder and lightening was amazing, and quite awesome to watch. Just wish it hadn't been at 5am, can never resist a thunderstorm...
Went to see the midwife today, heard the baby's lovely heartbeat (nice and strong and easy to find!) I have a pretty flat tum at the moment too Kerri but I'm just enjoying it while it lasts: I'm usually 9 stone and I put on 3.5 stone on with my DD but I did lose it all without trying, and it all went on in the last trimester. No stretchies either, so must've been what my body was expecting! Lots of water, I think - when I had my catheter out after having DD, they need to measure how much wee you manage to do. I did over a litre  (sorry if TMI, Kate Middleton should count herself lucky no unscrupulous nurse has published such facts on twitter :rotfl:)0 -
Ladies can you take it elsewhere, neither of you are 12-20 weeks pregnant and your topic isn't really relevant to this thread. If you want a debate create your own thread and don't bring this one down, thanks!

Well said kerri; the thread title says it all.DS born November 2013 :smileyhea0 -
Are they happy with it?
We need one that OH can go running with, not that he's gone running in ages. But one we can take off-road for walks up trails and things would be really good, especially ones with big wheels I think. OH would like one where the big wheels can go on the front, he's quite taken with the bugaboo cameleon.

Haven't been able to post much as had relatives visiting from the States. I've been the chauffeur and tour guide, I didn't mind, but it's been hard being pregnant and the weather hasn't helped!!
I thought now they'd left I could have a rest, but I've been suffering today with sciatica in my left bum cheek. I still have DD to look after so can't really rest up. DH did come home from his business meeting with a fresh cream and jam scone which cheered me up. I hope it doesn't hang around too long.Got married 13/11/10

I feel terrible. Applogies for TMI.....I went to the loo about an hour ago and there was alot of dischargw when I wiped....so I put my finger just inside to see if there was any more and my cervix was right there and very soft and easily opened.
Majorly panicking. I asked a midwife friend of mine what I should do and She suggested called triage for advice. Anyway, managed to speak to the rudest most unsympathetic b1tch in creation. I now can't stop crying and the pain in my lower back is getting worse. She was so rude. Quote...."Well I don't know why you were sticking your fingers in your cervix - You'll start labour as cause yourself to have a miscarriage". She initially told me I would have to stick my whole hand in to feel my cervix so I was mistaken. I understand labour ward deal with a lot of ridiculous pregnant women worrying over nothing, but I wish they would trust you when you called up for advice. I know what I'm talking about.

Oh lily nothing we can say will reassure you I know. Everything crossed that things are fine. I hope you can get to the EPU or gynae assessment unit asap. I think they can do a TV scan to check the cervix and put a stitch in to keep it closed (if indeed it is opening.) Rest up tonight, and keep us posted on any news in the morning. Lots of love and good wishes to you.
PS That woman sounds like a mega-b!tch who certainly needs some, ahem, communication training (read: a good telling off) if she's going to continue to deal with vulnerable members of the public. Obviously feeling your cervix will not cause a miscarriage - in America they have a smear test as routine in the first trimester !!!!!!.0 -
Huge hugs to you both, Lola and lily. Try not to worry lily. I sometimes have lots of discharge. Contact doctor in the morning just to reassure yourself xDS born November 2013 :smileyhea0

Sticking your fingers in your cervix does not cause labour. I should know I bloody tried when overdue with DS2!
Don't know how some women got to be midwives I thought people skills was one of the pre-requisites. Don't know what it is about midwives but a lot of them seem to have pretty big chips on their shoulders..,.0
