afternoon ladies, hope youre all making the most of this lovely weather :)
seem to have a boost in energy levels these past few days so with today being gorgeous and sunny, i'm going to put some new turf down in my garden ready for a blazing hot summer (i wish).
on the downside, along with me getting some umph back, i also have my appetite back, just had toast lathered in Philly cheese and a big bag of crisp, i think the baby also needs a few jaffa cakes :)
    Skint, but happy (ish):p

    Does anyone develop baby paranoias?
by this I mean, Mr Joshua must be healthy, he kicks me all the time

But Amanda Holden lost her baby at 6 months....... and I've heard of people losing them later.

So I am absolutely terrified. I'm terrified of standing up on a bus before it stops, I'm terrified of falling down steps. I'm terrified of cigarette smoke!

Yes. And it is much worse after you loose a baby.Without wanting to worry you, stillbirths are far too common and its a shame that a celebrity has to suffer one for it to gain any media attention. I think the figure is 10 every day in the UK.
The advice seems to be to keep an eye on movements and if you stop feeling them, tell someone.

People do suffer losses much later than 6 months. I know women who have lost their baby at 41/42 weeks and others, like me, at 36+.

Anyway, now that I have posted that nice cheery thread I hope you are all doing well and I am looking forward to joining you in the next few weeks!

    Hi Redwood,

just wanted to say thank you for your comment about still births and I echo your sentiments about how the subject isn't talked about. I know that its not nice to be reminded about these thankfully rare events however I do think its important that we're aware it can happen to the best of us and that there are people we can talk to.

On the flip side constant worrying isn't helpful either and I hope that we can all enjoy our pregnancies as much as we can... talking to my mum last night she said that the worrying never stops and she was never so bad as when her little baby (me - 31) was sobbing on the phone when I had some spotting early in this pregnancy.

Hope we all get to be wonderful mummies
have a big group hug grouphug.gif and enjoy the sunshine (and vitamin D) girlies
lots of love to all xx

Can't wait to meet you now baby!

Hi all, wow what weather and such a shame to be at work and not enjoying it!

jcr how cute is he - sound asleep though it seems!

Bella don't let her ruin it, you heard the heartbeat and baby knows you feel happy as jcr says, they can sense alot.

Twinkle I want to try to sort the front garden out when I next have time off maybe on bank hols as hubby can be the muscle... but back garden petrifies me... and i had lots of plans to grow stuff again this year, not sure if I will be able to focus on it...

Redwood thank you for your post, I also worry like the rest of us and definately would rather be aware than bury head in the sand. I just can't understand how or why a stillbirth happens, if everything is being monitored, what happens to cause it, such a tragic thing to happen which as you say gets no exposure presumably because it's something people want to forget. I am so pleased for you that you have a little one on the way and hope you enjoy this thread when you join I know I have learnt alot, then to see you on the big thread!

Thankyou sparkle. yes is so very cute. he never fails to put a smile on my face. everyone comments about his smile. it is just huge.

Sequeena i was always told being preg helps you tan easier. i wear factor 50 or 30 so no chance for me to even get beyond dead looking.

althought when i do tan it is a nice colour. mainly back and shoulders tho. but then i wear alot of halter necks and boob tube in summer. as for leg, nah no chance even tho i wear short skirts.

Well baby is pretending i'm a trampoline i'm sure. but even tho some kicks hurt i do love it. I'm eating so much juicy fresh fruit at the mo, i'm gonna turn into a strawberry. it is just so refreshing. i have always loved fruit, but i just want it more. also i've got a bit of a want for chewy sweets, like black jacks or fruti salad or the cola brusier bars. yum. how my taste for thigns is changing through the pregnancy.

Scan day tomoz. excited and scared. excited as i love scans, scary as in it is prob the last time i see baby until in my arms  yikes, nothing like bring it home with a whallop that it is real, lol. my dd is so excited, my ds2 is , but i think that more to do with being the last day of term, lol.:rotfl:

i really have no idea if boy or girl. im carrying so diff to my last baby who was a boy, and he was so diff to previous baby which was also a boy. i don't really care tbh. i just feel so lucky that i have the chnace to have another baby. yes a girl would be nice to even us out, but if i have a boy then i shall love it just as much, and will be welcomed into the family with lots of love and open arms.

i'm so glad i'm now feeling excited . took long enough, lol

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun, relaxing and thinking happy thought's. if at work, never mind be positive Weekend is nearly here girls and summer on it's way .

    I guess I really should join in with you lot properly though been a bit flat recently;

had the good news that we've sold our house (but needed to be out in 3 weeks - not possible so still negotiating that one!)
my FIL broke his leg & has been in hospital - his dementia has also worsened
my company is to shut & we've all lost our jobs (well sometime between now & September)
OH's company is also up for sale so he could be in the same position

Am trying to stay sane but it's all a bit much at the mo - just trying to make it to the 23rd when we go on holiday for 2 weeks!

Hope you're all well - I haven't caught up on the thread yet so hope no bad news anywhere.

    C xx

Good morning ladies, our thread had slipped back wayyyyyy too far!

Just hopping on to wish JCR best wishes for your scan today. I hope your bubs is happy and healthy and gives you a flash of the right area!

I've started feeling my son (ha ha love saying that!) move a lot more and I don't think it'll be long until DH will too.

    Hope everyone is well x

    Hi all,

    jcr good luck for scan!

Skint Catt so sorry to hear your news, there is so much going on right now in terms of jobs and changes, I do hope the sale goes through ok and you can negotiate about the 3 weeks. Also focus on your holiday and baby, I know it may sound easy for me to say but worrying about the future changes nothing really - enjoy the weather today and think of the pool!

DogLover I know what you mean, it's an amazing feeling - I still feel he's not kicking all that hard in terms of intensity but then again lots of time for that ha ha... this morning he was an olympic athlete and did the weird hardening of tummy thing, which really I can only assume is him turning and that it's the head or bum I can feel?

I totally agree Sparkle, the kicks are not at all hard but they're definitely there! I think I felt stuff before but now I know if you know what I mean. I love feeling them and I've learnt that he's always a but lively about 10pm which is bed time for me so I spend the time drifting off with the reassuring movements. I'm sure I'll moan about that timing in a month or so!

How's everything going with you? You're about 3 or 4 weeks ahead of me so is anything I should be expecting?
