It's so exciting!! I'm already struggling to not refer to him as it but I guess that'll come.

It's weird - I wanted a girl and now I feel guilty for thinking that.

I wonder how Caelshorn got on?

ooooh... two team blue  (or not x) congrats claireloo and doglover

I'm in two minds about team yellow... I've got 12 days before mine and whilst I'd love to be able to 'get to know' bump better I'm terrified that my mum will go crazy with shopping - plus if its a boy then I suspect our current nickname will stick. I'm having real issues with names as we've a very common british surname but one that doesn't go with lots of things especially as my heart is set having a european name to pass on my family's heritage.

Ah well 22 weeks to come up with something... going to see lots of friends today who don't know yet - one of them is 26 weeks herself with an italian husband so I guess I know who I'm going to be talking to all night :D Will be nice to share pregnancy talk with someone in RL as well as on here... anyway better do something productive before end of working week... have a group hug bumpy ladies xx

    Hi girls!
scan was amazing, they check so much stuff!! OH couldn't believe it either when they even showed us the blood flow to the kidneys. We are sticking with team yellow. I tried to sneak a peek, but it's a bit confused in there so I didn't even know what I was looking for :) I'll try to find a way to post scan pick, I don't have a scanner so I might have to take a photo with my phone.
Sorry I didn't post earlier, I had to go straight back to work. I can't believe how busy it is, I just hope it calms down soon so I can spend a bit more time sorting out the spare room.

BCS - good luck with your appointment next week. It must be daunting, but hopefully it won't be anywhere near as stressful as your imagination makes it.

Ecoelle - good luck to you with your assessment next week!

Re prams: I finally updated my pram-quest thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=42495754&postcount=49

Re cravings: I had a terrible craving for prawn cocktail crisps, one night I ate four packets in a row and then had terrible indigestion. Think I've learnt my lesson? Nope, I'm sitting here eating a pot noodle. Sorry baby!

Re sick kids: my friend's wee boy got an ear infection, then both his eardrums burst, then he broke his wrist. It's quite scary how fragile and yet resilient kids can be. I hope all your LO prove as hardy and get over their illnesses soon.

  • It was just as bad as I thought it would be tbh.

The pyschiatrist wasn't very sympathetic & basically told me that losing my breasts wasn't a big deal & no reason to be depressed as men lose testicles due to cancer & don't make a fuss.

Apparently I look fine with my clothes on & as i've managed to get pregnant I must be having sex so can't be that depressed.

Obviously the pychiatrist was a man.

I got really upset a cuple of times & had a really good cry when I came out but I stuck to my story which seemed to irritate him as he kept asking the same questions as if trying to change my mind.

I've got an appointment with my solicitor, barrister & my medical experts a week Monday so hopefully i'll know more then although they are now of the opinion that the breast surgeon thatoperated on me got mixed up when doing the mastectomy & took my right healthy breast instead of the left cancerous one.

I hope everyone is well & contratulations to everyone that had a scan yesterday. :T
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

I think the problem is that Its sucha strange feeling I think something must be wrong.
I was stood in morrisons with the OH looking at ice cream (I NEEDED IT!!) and he was looking at me weirdly, I didn't realise but I was spasming and giggling. Like if someone was tickling the back of your knees you might bend them a little. I was holding onto him and pulling faces!

    Oh oh oh oh

Also I mentioned in a previous post about my new OH and how he was lovely but how I was ignoring him when he said things like he can't wait to make the baby laugh (Even though it isn't his)

But the other night at mine he asked what sport Baby Joshua would be doing when he was older and I said ballet as a joke and he said NO we can go to taekwondo as a family

He needs to stop saying these things because it will pregnant my heart if we split up. Am I being unreasonable? We've only been together since January and he is wonderful BUT its only April. I'm 22 and he is 21 and he lives with his parents. And no I haven't told him I love him, but I know if we split up I would be devestated, more than any other relationship.

So if he doesn't say lovely things it won't be as hard.

I'm ruddy pregnant I am emotional so ARGH

Congrats ladies on good scans and yes lots of team blue around right now!

Sorry BCS to hear they were so unsympathetic, I think when it's men they don't relate as much and even if it was a man they were talking to, they'd prob be more blaze' about it than women and not make it so 'sensitive' and 'emotional' as if it's not a big deal.
Turns out my mums cancer has re-emerged, this time in the throat, seems removing both breasts helped for a while but at least this one now isn't spreading they say. She will prob have to start chemo/radiotherapy soon, and is worried she won't be able to make our July date, I hope everything will be ok.

Abby I don't blame you for holding back if you have been hurt before, he does sound lovely though and totally thinking about the future for his age. Try not to worry too much, take each day as it comes and involve him however much you can without feeling uncomfortable. He seems to really care and hopefully all will be great!

Watching Toy Story 3 tonight and having the little Chicago Town pepperoni pizzas with corn on the cob and then Ben & Jerrys ice cream, yum yum.

Plus daftly excited we are now the proud owners of a microwave, never had one in 10 years but we figured with baby it could come in handy...

    Happy weekend all!
