Awww just found out one of hubby's best friends and his wife are expecting a babba about 6 weeks after ours. Apparently they got their BFP the day we had our scan. I am soooo excited!!

bride2be i think i would TRY to stick it out to minimise the time i would b without money after SMP runs out, in case i couldnt find another job. However, thats me, it all depends really on whether u will want/need to return to work after SMP period is over?

Well any indecision on a water birth has been decided for me. Local hospital is having work done on the labour ward from July to next Easter and they wont be offering it. I'm not travelling into Edinburgh so gas/air/pethidine it is lol.

Its something to do with them relocating to the 2nd floor and its not being safe to have a full tub up there. If you really want one then they will put you through to ERI, you,ll probably get a leaflet at your next midwife appointment along with info on a whooping cough vaccination.

That's a shame. Same as you though, not trekking the whole way to ERI lol.

Bride2be I would hang in there. It must be tough knowing that you're not welcome there but for the sake of a few more weeks' pay isn't it better to have the extra cash? I only say this because I am working as late as poss in mine as they only offer SMP and want to take minimum 9 months off before going back. Good luck with whatever decision you make :S

It is a fair distance. I have an inkling that I'm going to 'pop' at college and end up in Wishaw General anyway so all plans will go out the window. Only I could think that returning to college at 37 weeks pregnant is a good idea :rotfl:

Workwise I'll have so much annual leave to take that I can go off at the end of July, start my maternity at the end of August then have 9 months off. Then my 2013 public holidays are tagged on at the end and that equates to another 2 weeks. So I'll go back at the end of June 2014 and be in a brand new leave year. Not long left, yay! :j

I went to my mums earlier and my TT perfect prep had been delivered Saturday! I wasn't expecting it to be back in stock for months. Not sure whether I should test it or what? By the time I need it 6 months warranty would have passed (and I had just a few issues with TT products in the past!)

Thanks for reminder of Tesco Clubcard Exchange I must find our vouchers.

Has anyone signed upto any baby clubs yet?

Our TT perfect prep got delivered last week, we aren't testing it just hoping that it works when the time comes, probably have a trial run near my due date (2 nov!).

Signed up to all the baby clubs we could think of after the 12 week scan to make sure we don't miss out on any vouchers.
