    Hi Bangton,

Break sounds lovely, hope you had a good time/had some time to relax and enjoy things.
I haven't slowed down either but I'm not quite as far along (only a couple of weeks behind you) but starting to feel a bit more tired now. I don't think it's a sign of the baby being stressed - just your body letting you know that you need to relax more than you need to tidy!

My house state sounds incredibly similar to yours... apart from you got as far as getting a plasterer (who is now AWOL)... I'm yet to get anyone to agree to come in the first place yet :D! Also we can't stretch as far as carpets, will just strap a few cut-offs to the baby, sure that will do in to the interim ;) (I'm kidding, I'm kidding).

Try to get some time to relax when you can and take all your rants out on us when you feel stressed about things.
Also it is only a couple of sleeps until the weekend - imagine if you'd just come back and discovered it was Monday...!

Anyone having a disposable vs. reusable nappy debate in their household yet?

Can't wait for another 4 months of these discussions..!

We have already decided to try reusables - already brought a set from eBay (second hand for £25) but they are in fab condition & if i can't get on with them at least it wouldn't have cost an earth & i know that others will buy them on eBay - Reckon i will try to get another set for same price so that i have plenty & a variety, just incase i can't get on with the others!

Even thought about reusable wipes - but not brought any yet - spose it is a little early!

Scan went well on Monday - apart from bean being a PITA and kept cross legged & curled up for the duration, meaning we have to go back for another scan in 3 weeks (not that i'm complaining!) so they can get more info on the stomach wall & liver & legs. If we had wanted to find out it wouldn't have happened! So i think it was fate that the lil b*gger was cross legged!

I think my mum thinks i am going to give birth to an animal - already knitted a frog suit (DH loves frogs) and yesterday brought a tigger outfit!

Yeah Ebay would be where my reusables would be coming from, just wondering how they'd work out when they were at nursery - but I imagine that's a discussion between me and the centre.

Was looking into them the other day and stumbled across the many different options and waterproof layers and inner linings etc. so swiftly closed the browser. Plenty of time to worry about these things...

Ahh I can't wait for my 20wk scan, the last scan mine had its legs over its head so I'm hoping its got a bit more space and has made itself at home a bit more... either than or it'll appear with its own trapeze..

I've felt movements for a while now (I'm 13 weeks) but I think I've felt them early as this is my second. It started as a feeling of butterflies in my tummy to now I can feel exactly where baby is and if he/ she turns around I'm aware of it. The movements are amazing. With my son he used to keep me awake with painful kicks towards the end!

I'm using reusable nappies, well once the merconium nappies have passed. I didn't use them until my son was a couple of months old last time. I used a mixture I found the main benefit to me was no stinky nappies in the bin at least with reusable they get put in a wash bag then washed so no lingering smell. Do whatever suits you :) I had pressure from family to BF/ use reusables and I think the pressure contributed to me having pnd so seriously don't listen to interfering in-laws do what YOU want!

KScarlet I had opposition from my in laws when I said we were using reusables, my family were fine with it. In laws were also a bit funny about bf- my kids were all bottled fed and they are fine blah blah! My mum said she bottle fed, but she had pressure on her from my aunt and nan who said formula was better, but that was in the 80's, my mum wishes she had tried, but hey ho it was over 30 years ago!

Do whatever you want to do, I always do!! :rotfl:

I think I've felt so movement, but like KScarlet it's my second. It feels like someone gently flicking me, but its only occasional. I remember towards the end seeing my stomach move and thinking the baby was going to burst out any second!

If any of you are on facebook there are loads of groups on there selling nappies, giving advice on washig, buying, using etc. Cloth Bum Mums, CBM Sales, Pre-loved Cloth nappies and accessories, For Sale- Pre Loved Cloth Nappies and Accessories. If you have money to burn check out Rosie Boo nappies, karabumba, cheeky bots!!
Pm me if you want to join as I think some of them might be secret :)

My house needs work doing, plastering the hall (plasterer just f***ed off just as I thought it was booked and ready to go), new carpets upstairs, new doors upstairs and a paint job upstairs. All the while I'm trying to save for the year I have crap all to live on! And then the seal on my front door has gone and the letterbox is also knackered!

Anyway..I need to get a grip..I'm probably just tired!

Hi there - not much to add other than I know how you feel. When i was expecting last time plasterers and decorators (we had hall stairs and landing done - I didn't fancy painting that!) kept letting us down, putting us off, etc. to the extent that when I had to go into hospital 3 days early the painting was still happening and the carpets were being fitted while I was being induced! This time, to go one better, we're having a big extension done, starting next week for 12-14 weeks. I'm 18 weeks with twins and can see history repeating itself...

Really hope you manage to find some reliable tradespeople and get stuff done ASAP :)

Agreed, what a fab pic Nessie.

I'm 13 weeks and have felt butterflies too. I'm also starting to feel quite uncomfortable at times.

Anyone know if its ok to eat scampi?

Scampi is a tricky one, but I would eat it. That's probably not much help :o
