I could recreate the Asda advert with all the wipes :rotfl: At least they are being delivered rather than me having umpteen bags of them. I will stash them at the top of the wardrobe, OH wont notice!

:rotfl: Wonder what will be going through that persons head when they have to pack your order. You never know they might lose count halfway through and give you too many :D

Actually thinking about it, its even more money saving. The amount of times I go into boots for some wipes and come out with other things as well, if I had a big stash like that I wouldn't be going in boots in the first place so wouldn't come out with new cups/bibs/bowls that DS doesn't even need!

I haven't even thought of stocking up on wipes or nappies or anything yet - although my mum seems to be buying for England. I think I'm just trying to save every penny so we can afford to actually buy essentials once baby is here. I must admit to scouring the grabbit forum and HDUK for bargains though.

I'm 18 weeks tomorrow and feel massive. Definite baby belly appeared now.

I'm still tired all the time but not feeling sick now.

We have a bit of a dilemma. I want to find out at the next scan boy or girl, OH doesn't. If I find out, there's no way I won't be able to keep it a secret from him. All my friends think I'll be able to persuade him to find out between now and then, which I probably would but I can't help feeling a bit unfair. There doesn't seem to be any particular reason why he doesn't want to find out apart from "it's traditional".

I hate shopping so anything so keep me out the supermarkets haha.

You don't need to go.. you send OH or online deliveries! I've not set foot in one in months

If the new baby is allergic then they'll get used on the super sticky toddler (how do they get as sticky) so at least they wont go to waste.

They are sticky because they ooze snot

Allergy wise, they are the only wipes that I can tolerate. I have hypersensitive skin and other brands irritate me no end so hopefully it all works out ok. Plus i'll donate some to my mum.

I have too.. but my mother can't use them either! lol.. The johnsons ones strip the skin off my hands.. it is like an acid peel if I wipe my face with one lol Tesco own ones are ok too strangely.

They're purchased now so i'll use the above to justify it :rotfl:

You cannot justify unnecessary spending when you have other, more important things to buy.

Flower.. it is more likely they will lose count and pack too few!

Do you have no self control? lol... I don't think I have anywhere I could store stuff tbh. I buy 2 packs of nappies and 2 packs of wipes.. and do a Tesco delivery while in hospital.. it is so incredibly boring .. for delivery when I get home.

With DS1 and DD1, when they were having theirs I bought the toiletries and nappies and stuff so they could spend their limited funds on stuff they liked.

Had more bad experiences with online shops than I care to remember so I refuse to do them now, OH, even if sent with a list, would come back with a months supply of relentless and pizza.

I don't see it as unnecessary spending. I need very little in terms of necessities for this baby, all the big things were purchased for my little boy, all in fab condition. I have a new pram, bottles etc.

All household essentials have been purchased, plenty of food in the cupboards and bills are all paid. I'd rather spend a spare £40 on something that I will eventually use rather than fritter it away.

If I could have a store cupboard like these people on 'extreme couponers' then I would. Maybe I have hoarding tendancies but if it saves me the stress of dealing with the Tesco/Asda/Morrisons shoppers who love to dither, shove or be plain rude then so be it. Supermarket shopping makes me so irritable so if I can avoid it then wayhay.

The best piece of advice that I have been given since being preggers is to do what I feel right and to stuff the 'opinions' of others. The second snippet is not to justify our decisions.

I think that you are being unnecessarily harsh there. Just because you have chosen to reproduce copious times doesn't made you an authority speaker on the subject. If people want to stock up then they want to stock up.

I too could recreate the asda ad! However, I keep using them myself, so I need to replace them and when 4 x pampers wipes are £2.50 it's difficult not to bulk buy. However, we have loads of space and have a "baby budget" to buy a few essentials each week. I spent this weeks on an angel care nappy bin thingy and some more little baby grows.

Anyone else had any irrational moments? I moved out on Saturday as my partner just doesn't listen to my requests to evict out lodger and doesn't clean. Thus the lodger moans I haven't cleaned and I was getting very stressed. So I've come back to the two things I wanted... No lodger and a "clean house"... Although He can't win because the lodger needs formal notice (not given) and moving stuff to the shed isn't really cleaning :rotfl: ahh well he tried to help appease my over reaction! Peace is restored and I've got him a treat for his return later today (OH not the lodger!).

On a good note there are 4 days until my next scan :) yipeeee more little alien pictures! I also believe I get to move up a thread next week... This is all getting rather kreal.

Only harsh if you have had a sense of humour bypass.

Things are only a 'bargain' if you won't ever see it again.. given the frequency of most supermarket offers recurring you rarely need to panic buy. I just don't get this 'stocking up' mentality.. it isn't like there is suddenly going to be a world shortage. Most offers are limited to a certain number per customer to make sure people share.

Personally, I'd rather save the money than fritter it on stuff not yet needed and clutter my house up.. but given the frequency of emergency repairs and purchases in here that is understandable... each to their own.

PMSL.. I don't see how my thoughts on any subject are relevant to my children.. I am, as I was when I was perfect and had just 1 child to base my opinions on, quite capable of thinking logically and rationally.. the one that has changed is my willingness to share experiences and express those opinions.. though is most definitely an age factor, most of my family have battleaxe syndrome too.. even though they are still perfect because they only have a couple of children.

Welcome to the concept of.. sarcasm.

Helen.. Irrational is a good thing.. it shows you are still alive and keeps people on their toes.. relish it, they aren't so accommodating once baby arrives ;)

20 weeks today, OMG where did the time go???

Enjoying a nice b/q later on with some ice cream for afters.

Here is a pic of my bump.

1st time I have worn a tight top, been wearing baggy tops to hide the 'look just fat' stage, but finally felt confident enough to wear my maternity top.

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday.
