Sorry to hear pigpen, I hate days like that. Re pain, can you get an emergency prescription from the GP? I know that they can rush one through if you ring in pain.
Can you write a list of jobs in priority order and get your OH to help? I know it's so frustrating not being able to do stuff (or watch as others don't do it properly ;)) but if you're feeling so bad you really need to rest/sleep if possible.

If all else fails, it doesn't matter if the house is a mess, just do what you can to feel more comfortable. Take care

laundry folded.. OH bossed to take it to the relevant rooms.

2 littlies being a PITA today :( Or maybe I just feel so crappy I can't deal with it today.

The GP won't do prescriptions over the phone.. they claim they do telephone appointments but one was booked for DD4 2 weeks ago for last Thursday, I am STILL waiting for the call. Good job it was nothing important and nothing the GP can change anyway because her meds are from the hospital.

It does matter if the house is a mess, it is mostly clutter such as toys on the floor and I can't step over it.. no one else is doing a thing without being bawled at so I may as well just do it myself.

Thanks for a few replies re my post about the tears.

On my notes it just says 'home visit' for 1 of my midwife appointments, off the top of my head cannot remember which one it is. This is what my mother in law was referring too.

Re the 'showing' comments, I myself don't have a proper bump yet due to being very over weight so since loosing the weight my tummy has lumps/bumps all over the place. I like looking at my bump though when I'm laying on my back in bed cos its sooooo obvious and sticks out, I like placing my hands on it, its a really hard lump as well.

Anyone who doesn't know me would think I'm a little overweight. I keep waiting for my neighbours to ask me if I'm pregnant, especially cos they've known how much weight I've lost.

People at work however comment on me now showing, but I think that's more to do with the fact they know I'm pregnant.

Been wearing my maternity jeans now for 2 weeks and love them. £7.50 each from mamas/papas, reduced from £30. I then also got a big bag of maternity clothes free off freecycle and over the moon that a lot of them are summer 3/4 trousers, perfect...

    Hi All
Well it's looking like I will be made redundant shortly - the company is centralising the team to head office which is miles away from where I live. it's a fair reason to get rid of us, so not a lot I can do, but it's not great timing. I'm not sure exactly of the timescales but I'm likely to be out the door before my qualifying week so I won't get any maternity pay, I'll have to claim maternity allowance. I'm more bothered about the big gap on my CV to be honest, when I am looking for another job in a year it won't look great that I've been out of work for that time.
Couldn't be worse timing really, as I know work have already replaced me with someone permanent in the London office, I could kick up a fuss and see if I get any compensation, but not sure how far that will get me.
Not sure what to do with myself for the next few months now, it's five months til I'm due and it's not really feasible to get another job with my health problems which will only get worse as the pregnancy progresses. I know a lot of people would kill for five months with nothing to do but when it's forced upon you like this, it's not pleasant!

Hope everyone else is doing ok and congrats on the scans.

Oh no an9i - I'm so sorry. Is it really going to be done so quickly? Don't they need some kind of consultation period? What about your notice period? (I'm sure you know all the rules etc already, just trying to think of suggestions). Will you get any redundancy pay?

If you have nothing to lose, it might be worth kicking up a fuss - depends how small a world you work in as to whether that would make it more tricky to get another job later. I'm guessing that everyone is affected, not just you, so there's no chance of discrimination?

Either way, really sorry to hear.
