I don't have a Baby on Board badge, I dunno why I just feel I'd be embarrassed to wear it and if people ignored that (which they probably would) I'd just get myself even more wound up!
I am definitely showing now, and the selfish ignorant man who sat there whilst I stood practically in front of him yesterday definitely saw.
As he tried to get off I deliberately made it difficult for him to get past me, and our eyes met and he looked sheepish. Idiot.
Fortunately I don't travel into C.London everyday anymore. I drive into my office which is based out of London, but the times I do have to commute I just get really wound up.
I just hate big crowds of people too.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Morning everyone,
I really should move up to this thread as I am now 13+1, but I am have had a bit of a stressful week and still dont feel entirely confident this pregnancy is going to end well
Does anyone have any advice about dopplers? I really want one to reassure myself, but then I know I could just end up even more scared if I cant find heartbeat!
I'm hoping this pregnancy starts getting a bit easier soon.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
My best pregnancy purchase of last time. I'm getting a new one soon. Price has gone up a bit but still worth every penny for the comfort at night from about 20 weeks til well after the birth.

Shared since somebody mentioned uncomfortable hips.
It was me! :j thanks for the recommendation. Tried sleeping with a normal pillow between my legs last night which helped, but might have to invest in a proper bit of kit soon!0 -

I've heard they're not very accurate to use before 16 weeks by then you may be feeling it kicking anyway. I can feel baby kicking now (I'm 18 weeks) so decided to use that instead of the doppler for reassurance.
I've learned though that there can never be enough reassurance when you're pregnant, every time you reassure yourself there's only a short while until the 'what if it goes wrong' thinking starts up again (well that's what I'm like anyway!)
I just try and switch off from the worry now, it does get easier as the weeks go by.0 -

I really didn't worry like this when I was pregnant with DS. But this one has just been so stressful so far. I found out I was carrying twins and had lost one, still spotting now and everytime I go to the toilet and see blood I am terrified that I am losing the second twin aswell.
I really cant see me relaxing until this spotting stops - if it ever does!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Morning all
Working from home today as needed to wait in for a delivery - what a treat. Managing to get some work done (although on a break at the mo!).
Felt rough for the last couple of days - nausea & headaches. Was hoping these would have stopped now (15+1). That said, there are some good points as it means I don't overeat. Still about 7lb less than when I got pg (with a BMI of 35 I really need to be careful). Feel OK today though.
Seem to be feeling movement which is good.
Have told my Mum & a shopping addicted friend that they can't baby shop until I am at least 24 weeks - but really want to shop myself! I really must resist. There's plenty of time to do that.
Glad my commute is 25 mins by car - I would get annoyed if I wasn't given a seat on public transport. I am scheduled to be on a course in London when I will be 8 months (assuming I am well) - it will be taxis for me.
My announcement is in the public domain at work. I work in a massive office (about 400 people) & have been there for 13 years so know loads of people. People have been coming up to me 'to see if the rumours are true'. I have ceased to be offended with the 'was it planned?' question - when you are 42 & have spent many years saying you don't want kids it's no surprise really! Everyone continues to be delighted saying they think we will be great parents (OH used to work there too) and that our lives will be enriched.0 -
I'm not so sure about people thinking it's obvious. Unfortunately, a big majority of the public are overweight and it'd be highly embarrassing for someone to offer a seat and find the person isn't pregnant, I think that was the reason for the badges.
I'm 31 weeks now and have a solid bump, haven't really put on anywhere else, and some people still don't assume it's a baby bump unless they know!0 -
I go to work on a shuttle bus that is just for other people at the same workplace as me. So basically exactly the same people every day for the last 3 years. I still find myself standing more often than not, people just couldn't care less. I'm 22 weeks and have a definite bump!!0

Ah sounds like some of you have awful commutes, I can't believe how rude people can be!
Welcome flower, so sorry to hear about your twin, it must be very confusing news to hear. I find my doppler incredibly relaxing, I bought it after the scan and it's so lovely to just lie in bed and listen to the heartbeat. Its my first baby so I'm expecting I wont feel him/her move for a while yet and it seems like a very long time to wait for the next scan without wondering. It's good for my OH connecting with the baby too - I think it feels a bit more real for him.
Another one for the lothians here -(probably RIE) I didn't get a fact sheet though!
We'll be staying team yellow because I like the idea and it seems nice and old fashioned. Also I am not a big fan of pink=girl and blue=boy so baby will wear all the colours regardless! I'm hoping not knowing will keep things nice and MSE too as we wont go crazy buying clothes before we need them.
Hope you're all well.
I've finally managed to pin my sister into going for a drink with me this evening so I can tell her she's going to be an auntie!0
