Lol, MIL had guessed something was up - as we were seeing both my folks & then his on the same day (only happens round christmas lol). She was quite understanding that my parents found out first - but only "because you tell the womans parents first" (her words) - erm, no it was because they live closer to the scan place we went to (an hour away from where we live), and his folks like 15 minutes from us. Like you, my parents are laid back and happy to be grandparents again, but wanting to leave us to our own devises as they understand it's *our* child, but I think MIL will take longer to get that (probably with help from DH telling her so lol) - she went funny the other week over the first midwife appointment as she thought we hadn't told her about the appointment. Doesn't help that DH is an only child so it's her first grandchild, while my sister has 2 boys so my parents are used to being lovely Grandparents. At the moment she's annoying me as she doesn't seem bothered that I'm being sick so much, because o well that's just what happens to produce her a grandchild obviously lol - thankfully my Mum is lovely and fretting over me cos she's lovelyAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Haven't got any inklings about the sex either, which is weird as I did the previous two times and was right, I know it's hardly scientific and there is a 50/50 chance etc.OPs so far £42,139

Hi, I'm St John's. i was surprised when I read the fact sheet as first time around they wouldn't tell me! That was 4 years ago and a lot seems to have changed!
Funny to 'see' someone in the same area lol.0 -

Maybe it's a selfish London mentality too.
I probably should say something, but I'm so hormonal right now I'd probably end up wanting to punch someone.
Think I'm just feeling sorry for myself this evening.
Definitely not just London. I commute to Leeds everyday and am fed up of the ignorance and shoving and pushing.
Tonight I got on a packed commuter train, stood up. Several people just stared at my belly..none offered me a seat. Fine...but don't stare at my belly it's annoying!!!!!
I work with someone who has just given birth and not once ONCE did she get a seat on her commute so I'm not expecting people to give up theirs for me!
In fact, while I'm on a rant I'm back to feeling sick again all of a sudden, randomly. I had a massive dizzy spell today at work and my work mates reaction (a man). 'Your pregnant..it's not an illness'. Why do people assume that feeling rough when pregnant means your milking it! I haven't taken a single day off since getting pregnant, despite having raging sickness and tiredness on and off. This last month I have made a few mistakes though which is hard to take as I'm not usually so carp at my job!
19 weeks, big bump ...and still moody!!!!!!;)0 -
I'm super moody tonight too Bangton, you're not alone!
I've had a couple of crazy work days. last night I had to haul !!!! into central London to meet with clients for dinner, which I didn't want to do. I didnt get home again until gone midnight. Then another long day today of all day presentations and was meant to be at another dinner this evening.
I told my boss this afternoon that I wasn't going to the dinner as I am too tired and not feeling great (true). I don't think she was happy, but frankly..s0d her!
I've done more than enough I think. I don't get paid any extra for working till midnight, and traipsing home to South London late at night when feeling a bit vaunerable and pregnant isn't fun.
I hardly ever got offered a seat during my last pregnancy when commuting in and out of London. The handful of times I was, it was women offering their seats. Never men.
24 weeks on Thursday and UBER GROUCHY!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
That sounds horrendous MV. I have to be in bed for 10pm or I'm shattered the day after. I'd be doing my nut over that and telling them no too!! At least my boss is sympathetic. I'm not even allowed to carry ring binders without her jumping up! (it's a bit over the top though!)
If you've been pregnant ...you get it. That's why men never give up seats. But then I've seen an elderly man get on the train at commuter time with a walking stick standing so I think it's just commuter ignorance...look the other way and hope someone else will move for them!
Elbows in ribs is my final gripe on the commuting issue! Why do people do it? Pregnant or not it's an awful feeling! I'm worried I'm going to be arrested for assault before I get to nine months as the temptation to full force elbow people back is so amazingly strong I may just succumb!
Oh and everyday at work I'm greeted by 'Morning fatty!' Funny at first NOT funny now!0 -
Hmmmmm I'm that person who gets on the train and asks for a priority seat. Knowone has refused, but I've had a few people look a bit !!!!ed off! However, I can't stand as my hip might lock and then I'm stuck, I'd rather be stuck sitting!
I went for my 10:45 appointment at the hospital and finally escaped at 1;50... They let anyone who had a child to collect from nursery/school go before those who had to go back to work! So people who booked a 12:30 appointment got seen before meso my boss was not best pleased.
On a good note I get another scan next week as kidneys weren't seen at my 20wk scan and then another at 36wks as my bmi is high (over 30).
I also got an ultrasound today (not sure why!), baby is still there and wriggling away nicely with lots of fluid around it.
Is anyone else struggling for work clothes? Where are you buying stuff from? I've just bought some black trousers from eBay but im a shift dress and jacket girl, so these are alien to me! Ay ideas are welcome. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
MV, do you use the tube? You can get a special badge as a pregnant lady, I'd be shoving that in their faces to get them to move! Selfish people really annoy me.
I had really had wrist problems as a teen and was sat on a crowded bus once as it wasn't safe for me to stand and an old man hit me with his stick for not giving up my seat - despite there being loads of other students around that he could have picked on, I was just the only non-scary looking female!0 -

Badge or not do people move? I mean for me I've got a prominent bump now and mv posted hers. Pretty pregnant looking to me! What difference does the badge make? Mind you I guess some daren't give up a seat in case your not pregnant!!!0
