    Hi everyone.

Am amazed at some of your journeys to work, wow.

I'm 10 mins in my car. Before I fell pregnant I used to walk to work which took me 45 mins, love walking but not that distance anymore as it started hurting my hips, especially because I walked at a quick pace. Still enjoy taking the dog for an hr walk after work though as we just walk at a much steady pace.

Well had my 1st lot of tears not long ago, proper cry as well. My mother in law really upset me, wish hubby hadn't told me but he was annoyed at her. Her and hubby were talking about our place, yes we'd love a house but no can do so having to make the most of our 2 bedroom flat.

She was getting on at him over the phone about de-cluttering and getting the flat ready for the baby (I'm 19+2). She then went on to say that when the midwife visits if its not all ready we won't be able to bring our baby home.

Well that was it, I was off on one crying, saying to my husband all the decorating and sorting the stuff out that's in the spare room to be stored somewhere else wouldn't be done in time and what if they took the baby away from us and gave it it someone else.

I then felt baby for wanting a baby when we only have a 2 bedroom flat and kept apologising in my head to my baby bump.

Felt silly afterwards, but pure panic set in about being a bad mum.

On a brighter note, a week today and its our 20 week scan. Can't wait to see baby again, seems forever since my 12 week scan.

Don't feel bad for living in a 2 bed flat - that's more than enough room for you both and a baby! Yes, babies have a lot of stuff, but you'll be fine. I'm sure we all have to declutter when we're making room for another person, but you do have plenty of time, so try not to stress too much.

I'm intrigued about the midwife coming over - is this usual? I didn't have it last time (although wasn't really under the community midwives) - I'd be tempted to tell them to do one personally. I'm not sure that they can refuse to let you take the baby home, that doesn't seem quite right somehow.

Hope you're feeling a bit better soon - roll on the 20 week scan :)

In our area the midwives come out every day for the first 5 weekdays after your out of hospital. They only care that the house is safe, midwife only ever seen my livingroom which was cluttered as hell due to all the baby presents. She didn't say anything.

I'm sure you will be fine, a 2 bedroom flat is more than adequate! After all if it was a 1 bed council house/flat they would say that it was acceptable until the baby was 2.

Hi, I'm St John's. i was surprised when I read the fact sheet as first time around they wouldn't tell me! That was 4 years ago and a lot seems to have changed!

Funny to 'see' someone in the same area lol.

I am also at St.John's :) All excited now to find out (unless baby decides not to play ball that is!)

If the baby doesn't cooperate then i can reccomend BabyBond in Livi Village. They are fab, the one in Edinburgh (same company) is also good.

Sorry to hear you are all having dreadful commutes :( I'm sure all that will come to me as the belly expands. Suddenly a 40 min tube journey isn't looking that exciting! In good news I had my 16 week appointment today and they found the heartbeat which was really reassuring. Hasn't properly stopped me worrying though :S

When did everyone's bumps start to show? Wondering when I'm going to have to tell workmates.

At around week 17 I'd have found it hard to hide my bump. But by 20 weeks strangers noticed that I was pregnant. So maybe you'll have to say something soon. Saying that, if you want to hide it a but longer then some careful thinking about what to wear should help :)

I am 15+2 and enormous! (possibly both because it's not my first, and there's two in there) I have a very pronounced football-sized bump that some people have remarked upon, but some not. I think we can usually tell on ourselves because of our clothes not fitting, but also think that some people just wouldn't notice unless you were actually giving birth in front of them.

I'm 20+1 and could still pass as 'just having one to many pies'. I have a slight bump but it's peanut shaped lol.

Still in my original clothes, was the same first time around. I'll just pretend I have abs of steel! :rotfl:

I seem to have eaten a tonne of food today, maybe i'll pop a bump soon.

Getting a fair few kicks tonight which is nice as I have an anterior placenta so I was expecting it to take a bit longer to feel anything :)
