Hi Ladies
I'm graduating from the less than 12 weeks thread. Am 13 + 3 today. I am after some advice/reassurance actually.
Had scan on Thursday and little wriggler seemed well. The sonographer said she was happy with what she had seen. The NT measurement was 1.6mm and then I had my bloods done for the combined Down's test.
The lady doing the bloods was lovely and said all being well I would recieve a letter in the post in a couple of weeks giving me the risk factor. If there was a problem i.e. high risk then I would be called in the next few working days.
My mobile rang this evening at 7pm whilst we were eating and it was a blocked number, I said to OH "oh probably a PPI thing" and left it, not immediately thinking of the blood results. Now I am worrying it was the hospital calling about the results!!!! No message was left. Would they call that late in the day do you think with results??
Thanks ladies and sorry for such a long, selfish post for my first on this threadjust a bit panicky!!
xx
Hi Everyone ...I'm also graduating from the 12 week thread. I'm now 15 weeks exactly and wondering if anyone else has felt (or might have felt) their babies so early. I keep getting this weird feeling in my belly a few times a day. It started 2 nights ago and is now happening through the day....pretty sure it's not wind! It really does feel like a light thumping in my tummy!
Anyway...Hopelass I don't think they would ring about your results at 7pm. My notes from hospital said they would call between 9am and 5pm Monday - Friday specifically. It doesn't mean it's not them...different places and all that but that might reassure you a little.0 -
Hi ladies, just coming over from the other thread, am now 13 weeks. Was wondering if anyone has had any weird cramp/stitch like feelings? It feels quite different from the ligament pain of early pregnancy and I used to just get it occasionally when I went for a run but now it's happening during the day. Bit random but thought I'd ask! Hope everyone is feeling well and has happy wriggling beans
Yep I've had it...I've had a lot of odd stretchy, crampy pains but on Easter Sunday in particular I had a massive stitch like feeling and almost like my skin was actually tearing. I've already ballooned at 15 weeks so put it down to my ever expanding belly and just another pregnancy pain!0 -
Im 15+4 and have felt movements for about a week now like a light thumping.
OH is jealous as he cant feel it yet. He has started talking to baby bean thoughSometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait

Sounds the same as me...light thumping. It's very odd..I can't wait to be further along so OH can feel it too!0 -
welcome Bangton and Lobey!
14+5 and no movement but that's to be expected. It is exciting to think I might feel movement in 4-6 weeks!0 -
Thanks NikkiAnn and Bangton! It just feels like a weird low down pain almost in my ovaries or lower but I'm reassured that others are feeling it too. Still have not told parents or boss yet, really nervous about doing it especially as my mum is a real fusser but I'm guessing the longer it's left the more pregnant I'll look! Anyone else putting it off?!0

I thought it would be that long too but apparently having researched it like mad since the tapping from inside my tummy it's pretty common to feel movement at 16 weeks...so you might feel it sooner than you think!
Wish I could fast forward a bit though...I'm still sick on and off and exhausted beyond words. I get through plenty of work when I'm at work I just can't be sure any of it is right....it's all done in a daze. Earlier my OH asked what time it was...I just sat blankly trying to take in what he was saying to me!
I hope this subsides soon..it's getting better. At the beginning of my pregnancy I didn't clean the house properly for four weeks, which is odd for me since I'm a bit OCD about cleaning. Anyhow...I've got back to obsessional cleaning so at least I feel a bit more like me! I just wish I had the stamina to make it through a full day without wanting a nap.
Anyway...I'm rambling...I've tried to keep pregnancy talk to a minimum around friends and colleagues (conscious of being a pregnancy bore and people round me are trying/have been for ages so I don't want to shove it in people's faces) so coming on here I've just unleashed!
Lobey.....I put it off. I was so excited about telling people at about 7 or 8 weeks but wanted to wait for scan. Then as I was laying having scan and they were asking who I'd told it suddenly dawned on me I didn't want to tell anymore! No idea why...but anyway I've done it now and everyone's gone nuts...my mum making up excuses to go to Mamas and Papas and my sister has created a baby scrapbook as she thinks she is designing baby's bedroom!0 -
Hi all,
i've been lurking, but not had a lot to say really.
Had my 20 week scan today and due 27th August. This is baby number three for me. I've got a 4 year old and two year old both girls. Didn't find out the sex this time.
Wasn't going to, didn't find out with DDs either, but when it came down to it I asked to know and they couldn't see anything. Baby clamped legs firmly shut, so I'll be getting another lovely surprise. Think its cos really I didn't want to know, just got carried away.OPs so far £42,139
Original end date Nov 2037 (53) Current end date June 2024 (40) Aiming for 5 years to be Mf
DD1 Oct 2008:), DD2 Jul 2010:), DD3 Aug 2013:)
When life is getting me down I try to remember to thank God for the blessings0 -
Yay, felt the baby kicking properly last night! I was lying in bed and had a funny feeling, different to the fluttery feeling I've had for a few weeks. DH could even 'sort of' feel it too.0
