  • Im fine girlzmum and lovecake thanks, bruised pride is right! Was waiting to feel baby move after which took ages! Hope you start showing soon girlzmum, I've really ballooned this past week or 2! Aww sparkles that's so lovely. It feels so surreal when they kick. Hubby just felt baby kick above my belly button :-)

pp i can't believe there is 2hbs or a very fast moving baby! Wow to being 16weeks! Good luck telling your oh, are you telling him before or after scan?

  • Twins would bring your running total up to a nice even 12 PP! :D

15 weeks tomorrow for me..it's amazing hiw the weeks start to move by so much more quickly after 12 weeks..which are sooo painfully slow.

Nothing much to report with me, I seem to be showing a bit now although I am sure it is 90% bloating and me being a pig.

OH has managed to get a new job paying 8k more than he earns now, which is great as with me only working part time and then obviously going on mat leave laster this year, we will need the money.

I'm a bit worried though as the company sounds as if they are going to want a lot from him time-wise in return, and late working hours are part of that.

I really look forward to 6.30pm when OH walks through the door at the moment as I have either been at work all day, have picked up DS and given him dinner and am ready to flake out, or I have been with DS all day and am ready to flake out!

I think I'm going to find it harder and harder as time goes on with this pregnancy too, let alone when we also have a newborn to throw into the mix!

But I guess that's the compromise isn't it? More money=more responsibility.

Trying to be really positive about it as OH is excited, but can't help feeling there may be challenges ahead...

Well.. Dot is sporting the 'I'm a big sister' top which I got Squeak when pg with Dot... so let's see if this prompts the question.

B&Q shortly and the decorating spree will commence at the weekend!... It starts with lots of throwing out of stuff.

  • Hope everyone is getting on ok, I am finding it strange not having any appointments or scans for a while now but loving that I can feel baby moving now, how long will it b until my OH will be able to feel the kicks too?

We bought all of the nursery stuff at the weekend, a bit early I think (I'm 22 weeks) but it was all on offer in mothercare and saved us so much money we couldn't not!

Dunno if any of you lovely ladies can help. I'm due to get stat maternity pay and I currently study part time (fee grant through SAAS in Scotland) - would I be eligable to continue studying when on SMP? It'd either be 1 day a week or 2 evenings.
  • Not sure on the rules for SAAS as I'm in England but I'm sure if you contact them then they'll be able to explain.

With student finance in England, you can't as you have to have at least two weeks off legally when the baby arrives so it may be the same.
  • HI All, well I am now 12 +2 today, so it is time to move to this thread!!!!

Family all told over the weekend and an offer accepted on a house, Its all starting to fall into place!!!
  • Pigpen - hope youre ok, sending hugs .... just tell him and get it over with
MV - 15 weeks tomorrow - yay!! Do you 'feel pregnant' yet? Apart from a fat tummy, I dont feel preganant at all.... just a bit tired and out of breath when I run up stairs.

Sparkles - yay for feeling kicks... I cant wait to feel something

I am 15 + 3 with nothing much to report..... went into mothercare to look at buggies.... bit over whelming, how on earth do you choose??!!
If at first you dont succeed, try, try again
  • Rumfeeble- with the buggies we looked, looked and looked again, researched reviews online and tried all the ones we liked morethan once. Think you've gotta think what you want from it, is it gonna be your main way of getting baby around? Does it need to fit in the boot of a car? Will you be going off the beaten track much with it? Are you planning a second child soon, would you want it to convert to a double? Loads of questions, but once you can answer some you can narrow it down a bit. It was my favourite thing to buy!! :D

Nearly 15 weeks and still feeling drained and generally a bit yucky, I'm sure it went quicker than this last time :( Anyone else still feeling rough?
  • Not really Rum..looking a bit round in the belly, and my coccyx is hurting a bit (something that happened during my last labour) so sitting on an office chair all day isn't that comfortable.

Still really tired too..am falling asleep by about 9pm!
