    I am most amused now..

So, what hint do we drop tomorrow?

Nearly 15 weeks and still feeling drained and generally a bit yucky, I'm sure it went quicker than this last time :( Anyone else still feeling rough?

Feeling rough due to being ill, don't think I've got any horrible pregnancy symptoms anymore, just tiredness and hip pain creeping in early.

But time is definitely not going as quick as it did first time around.

16 week appt tomorrow. Really looking forward to that.

    Sorry about your cat, Minimuffin.

I'm at my wits end :(

Still didn't get much sleep last night due to cold. For the first time since Friday I managed to breathe through my nose a bit but now I have a really horrible cough.

Any ideas for anything I can do before bed tonight to ease the coughing?

I'm just so tired now. 6 nights of very little sleep is taking it's toll. If I could get a good nights sleep I'm sure it would help me getting better quicker too.

I've got so much to do when I get better, the jobs are piling up :(

  • Poor you Giz, it sucks that you can't take much when pregnant.

How about hot honey and lemon, have you tried that? It can be quite soothing.

I'm not sure if you can use something like Olbas Oil to help you breathe? I have a feeling that maybe you can't, but there might be something similar you can dab on your PJ's to help you breathe.

Hope the 16 week appointment goes well today.

My DS seems to have started getting really naughty all of a sudden. My childminder told me he kicked the little girl she minds too yesterday and made her cry :( She is only about 15 months and a lot smaller.

I'm a bit disappointed as he's always been a softy, and in fact gets poked and pushed himself by some of the toddlers at the Gymboree class I take him too and never retailiates.

The CM seems to think it's nothing to worry about, but I hope he's not turning into an aggressive child.

  • Pigpen - put a bun in the oven and ask him to go check dinner?
Giz - try putting a pillow or two underneath your matteress so your head and chest are not lying flat - it really helped me a week or two ago. Also ice lollys helped soothe the sore throat better than anything else. Can you use Vicks in pregnancy? If yes try rubbing some on the soles of your feet to help a cough (I promise it works!)
MV - hopefully it was just a one off..... did the little girl do anything to him first ie was he provoked?

muffin - hope the cats ok :(

Im wondering if I even need a buggy..... most places we drive to perhaps a car seat and a sling might be more suitable? I could just wait till he or she is here.
If at first you dont succeed, try, try again

Giz, I bought a Vicks humidifier earlier in this pregnancy as I was struggling with a cold. I'm not sure how much it would help a cough, but having it on in the bedroom overnight definitely helped stop me from getting too bunged up so that I wasn't constantly waking up. It's not a cheap option (I think it was about £40), but I figure we'll use it again as we can use it any time anyone has a cold.

Hopefully just a phase your DS is going through MV. I guess they are at the age of starting to test boundaries and see what they can get away with.

Hope your cat is OK minimuffin and the surgery goes well today.

I can't believe your OH hasn't noticed PP! He must be in serious denial.

Found out yesterday that 2 more women at work are pregnant, so that makes 4 in total now - and 3 of us are on the same team and due within a period of 2 months! It's quite a baby boom :p Think our boss is having a bit of a panic now as to how he's going to manage with so many of the team off on maternity leave at the same time.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well - I know Olbas oil isn't recommended, but I had such a horrible cold a few weeks ago that I used a tiny bit on my pillow at night and it really helped.

I second the honey and lemon approach as well - and I always find a bit of fresh ginger in it helps as well.

Hope you feel much better soon!

No I don't think she did Rum. Obviously I wasn't there, but she's only a wee thing and has only just started toddling.
DS was hitting things with a whisk yesterday too, making a banging sound (which he is really into at the moment), and apparently then thought it funny to try and hit the childminder with it! Not good.

I've expressly told her that she has my full permission to tell him off. I don't allow that sort of behavior at home, so it shouldn't be tolerated elsewhere.
