Thanks for the welcome ladies, snow just starting here so no snow days today!

Well bounty predicted a girl so correct for me, although sonographer only said 70% girl as legs shut most of the time. Trying to resist looking at girly clothes til we''ve had next scan just in case. I get two more as I'm old and fat!

Anyone got the britax b dual? We''ve ordered and hopefully will fit in car, the mothercare and mamas and papas near us didn't have much choice to try so had to order online. Little man will be two but he's a handful and I want to be able to restrain him if near busy roads or needing to nip to shops instead of running after him if he won't stay on buggy board.

Off to try the name generators for girl, the names we had first time round we don't like now...something a little bit unusual but not weird required. Any suggestions?

Welcome Zebusi! I have a favoured girls name (at the moment anyway) - sounds really morbid but I was walking though my local churchyard and it was on a gravestone - the sun was shining, it was very peaceful and I thought how lovely the name was! So you might come across one like that! I am still up for changing it - OH doesn't like my other suggestions though!

Maybe Bounty will predict you a good one!:p
  • I will add myself on again

Bounty name predictor suggests Phoebe for the girl it's predicting I'll have. I quite like that name, but suspect it will fall foul of DH's 'not spelt like it's said' rule. Plus we already know a couple of people with little girls called Phoebe and one of them also has a little boy with the same name as DS.

Added myself onto the gender guess list too.

I love our names and I'm really scared if I have a boy, as expected, that someone in the family or friends will use our girl's name before we have another one! :o

It suggested Leo as a name for my supposed boy. Not all that keen on it! Though it is my star sign :p

I don't want to tempt fate or anything! I will let you know if I choose it after the birth - I don't know anyone else with the name and its really pretty (in my opinion anyway:p!). But of course if I wander in the churchyard again and see something better..... (churchyards are a real inspiration for names - especially if you are looking for something a bit more traditional and spelt like it sounds - BigBird!!!!:D)

The only boys name I liked was Finlay - but seeing as though they think I am team pink - I can let that one out of the bag!:)
  • Ah ok ihatedida, I understand i just could do with some ideas myself!ha. Finlay's lovely but we have a nephew called it, like Flynn too but its too similare to Fin! Will get myself to the cemetary!

    Part of the Furniture
    Hi all
    Hope everybody is well.

I have been at work all day and now suffering from stiff joints from re wiring network cables in our office, mental note, must get self fitter!

Wife said baby has started to kick harder now, so maybe able to start feeling it soon, must be 4-5 weeks since she started to feel flutters then kicks so can't be far off... Hopefully!

She ended up taking the day off on Wed (well, I told her she was not going in!), I think she got herself over tired and exhausted. Her job is quite stressfull which is not helping. She slept more or less all day and feels much better for it.

Managed to get her to do a few of these gender tests. Some said boy, but most said girl. Will (hopefully) find out on Tues, although have slipped into the habit of calling the bump 'him', suppose its better then 'it'!

Good luck with the scan SplanK :)

I'm now 21+1 (where has the time gone??!). He is getting more and more active now but yesterday was a tough day for me because he decided to lay on my bladder (or something else equally sensitive) all afternoon and evening long! It's not a nice feeling! I actually think that he was laying across my tum but I might be wrong.

I hope that everyone is staying safe in the icy weather :)
