I haven't drunk at all since I found out I was pregnant - I've never really been fussed on alcohol and only ever drank to get drunk tbh so it doesn't bother me!

We were told that they had decided who should be up for redundancy based on disciplinary record and length of service. As none of the 3 managers at work have any disciplinaries on their record tehn it came down to length of service and i have only been there 3 years whereas the men have been there for 5 and 8 years. So as there are going to now be only 2 jobs, not 3, one of us has to go and they said because i had worked there the least amount of time ny name has to go int he hat. It means that i can apply to any of the other stores with vacancies, although this amounts to one job on our region, and then if i don't get it i'll get made redundant in May.0 -
Hi all,
Hubby poured me half a glass of red for the movie last night (Fight Club) but I only managed 3 slips and fell asleep half way through movie anyway...
BCS sorry to hear your news - if you had the mastectomy 4 years aho, and it can reoccurr within 3 years, hopefully when you are tested again you'lll be in the clear, it's so not what you'd expected them to tell you right now *hugs*.
My mum had the same 2 years ago, was a double mastectomy, and has just had a tumor appear inside her throat, we're hoping it will all be ok and isn't the cancer coming back. They have said it's not spreading which is at least something. Hoping she will hear more within 2-3 weeks when biopsy results come back.
Finally got some maternity jeans today bl**dy Debenhams have ONE rack of maternity items, so I had to buy Red Herring jeans at £32 because they fit... in another store though got a stretchy wrap dress for £9, and a cream cardi in New Look reduced by £5, to £12.99 so quite pleased. Hard to get maternity clothes anyway, let alone petite ones... grumble over, at least I have a few bits now!
Been shattered today, so much for yesterdays' energy, so just chilling now...:):)

Definately go and speak to your nearest citizens advice.
they have to show a fair selection process for redundancy and last in first out is not a fair process.
ive been in maternity wear for 3/4 weeks now, cant fit my bump into any of my normal clothes. my over the bump next maternity jeans are the greatest!0 -

Just being pregnant does not give you protection, on maternity does if you can start maternity before you are made redundant you are protected and one of the jobs MUST be yours regardless of ANY criteria they come up with, they CANNOT make you redundant unless there is genuinely no suitable positon for you and this is highly unlikely unless the whole business is folding or it is very small with only a handful of employees. The earliest you can start is at 29 weeks if this is before May it may well be worth going this early as it will protect your job.AKA: PC

Hi everyone, I only found this forum today and it's taken me all afternoon to read through your posts (not a bad way spend a Sunday afternoon!). I'm due 4th Aug so I'm 20 + 3 now. Had my 20 week scan wed was so excited as I wanted to find out the sex but I wasn't asked if I wanted to know :-( baby was in a bad position and the consultant couldn't get a good look at the face so I've got to go back in 2 weeks. Should I ask about the sex then? The midwife said my consultant isn't the best for telling you the sex but she said I could just ask if he happened to see anything at the end of the next scan. What you think? So jealous of everyone who found out xx0

Bella we are due the same day!! I know the sex as I've had a lot of scans but my official anomaly scan is tomorrow :T yes you can ask, whether they tell you is another story though
you could always book a private gender scan though xx

But my better half wants to have surprise in August, so I can't find out what we cooked up even if I wanted toInformation - never enough, questions - always too many, decisions - not always the best
