Sounds like it could be beany LittleMoog - it's very hard to tell when they first kick, as sometimes they don't kick for quite a while after that, and you find yourself wondering if you imagined it. Lets hope you start to feel more and more now you've found that first kick.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

As SM says, it is hard to tell but it probably was the bean! People will tell you its just gas etc but you can tell the difference yourself so just relax and enjoy the movements you feel.
I first felt movements at 13+4 and then again at 13+5. People say you can't but I did and when I spoke to the midwife she said it is completely possible and I most likely did from what I explained but its not common and if people thought it was they would panic if they didn't feel anything until 22 weeks etc like others. I haven't felt it again since except for this morning and I am 18+3 today so they can be really spread out. I didn't panic because I have a doppler and I have been able to hear a good strong heartbeat since 8+6 (checked back - thought I was 8+3 at the time but using my new EDD from dating scan I would have been 8+6) which again people said was impossible - but my midwife told me i'm not crazy and just really lucky.
We had a very clear 12 week scan with a very active baby too and they were even impressed at the hospital how clear it was.:jBaby Boy born December 20120 -

Thought I'd pop in to say hi.
Supposed to be going to hen weekend today but have been feeling pretty rubbish all week (sickness, hayfever, lack of sleep) so staying home and losing out on what's going to be a fab weekend. Doc said no anti-histamines unless taken at my own risk so more disturbed sleep to come.
Hope everyone else is well.Little man arrived 13 Dec 20120 -

How far along are you? I get bad hayfever and discussed with my GP. In the end she just prescribed some beconase (which isn't great although it helps a bit). She was very reluctant to prescribe any tablets.
Further along in my pregnancy (37 weeks) the midwife advised me to take a tablet now and then if it was bad. I googled the NHS's advice and bought some loratadine (cetirizine can also be used I think). At 37 weeks my baby's done its developing and provided you don't take a sedating anti-histamine everything should be fine.
That's my choice though, and I'm not recommending anything - just giving you my experience. You've got to weigh up the severity of symptoms with the risk to your baby (which reduces as you get nearer delivery).

I had to take anti-histimines for a severe allergic reaction when I was 9 weeks. Obv this was under medical supervision - I had cetrizine at first then fexofenadine when it wasn't responding well enough. It hasn't had any adverse effects. But I've got a bad back now and my GP is refusing anything except paracetemol. Sometimes I think the response depends on who you speak to.
I had my 20 week scan yesterday (am 22+2), we are having a little girl. DH is very pleased. DS, not so much :rotfl:I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off
