    Hi everyone, I'm 22 weeks pregnant, baby boy EDD 20 July. Worst thing about being pregnant (my first time) is ever-increasing bra size. Before pregnancy I was 34C–D (depending on make of bra – although Bravissimo measured me and convinced me I was 32D, Marks and Spencers said 34C! Go figure). Anyway, now I'm up to a 36DD and I seem to have just increased again. A number of years ago I was about a stone heavier and was unhappy with bra size 36E, now looks like I'll be that size again.

    Ever since I had to get bigger bras and found my shirts/blouses didn't fit anymore (this was quite early on in pregnancy) it's been getting me down a bit because I feel like my chest is really dominant and I find it really embarrassing – I'm not one of those Bravissimo women who is comfortable with big being beautiful. I was so happy to get my bra size down pre-pregnancy but now I feel enormous and frumpy. My bump isn't that big but I am starting to feel bigger by the week and getting more indigestion and leg cramps. But the boobs thing is the worst.

    I was heartened to read about the Anita bra a few pages back because I feel like I need the support of underwired bras, as long as the wires don't start to dig in too much. I might order one and see how I get on with it.

    Does anyone else find eating snacks – little and often – to be better? I often can't face eating a main meal in the evening and I've got terrible indigestion right now from eating pasta so I think I need to change my eating habits. I'm starting to not feel like a normal person who can do normal things anymore!

    I would be interested to hear what anyone thinks about using reusable nappies. My husband & I are very environmentally aware and don't want to use disposables. We've read about a service that takes away the nappies for you and provides clean ones– 'all' you have to do is scrape out the old nappies first and then put them in a special bin and leave them for the company to collect. But not sure how feasible/likely this is especially in the first few weeks after baby's born when all you want is an easy life. But I hate the idea of so many disposable nappies becoming landfill.

    P.S. RJH – in response to your post, I felt more hormonal in early pregnancy, but I did have a good cry last weekend when I read all about how much babies poo on the NCT website – I think I'm getting overwhelmed with all the information!

    Re. measurements, I don't think it's overly common for the sonographer to tell you. They just put it in the notes. They take a few - a couple round the head, tummy circ, and femur length. In my notes there's a horizontal line for each with a dot where my baby is on that scale.

    She did happen to mention that he/she had really long legs, but only because they were off the scale - she didn't say anything about the other measurements.

    Our baby has femur length on the bottom of the scale but not below it. From what I can glean from the limited info on the net about this, if the length is shorter than the scale they will send you for further scans. This is why I’ve had a mini freak out about it.

    i looked at my notes which have measurements FL 31.8mm, HC 176.8mm, AC 155.7mm - i guess one of the last two measurements is the length of the baby

    FL = Femur length
    HC = Head circumference
    AC = Abdominal Circumference.

    Our FL was 28.7 at 20 days. How many days were you when you had your scan?

    RE: Reusable nappies – we went to the baby show at Excel a few weeks ago and all the reusable nappy brands were there. We got a whole birth to potty set from Tots Bots for £185! I would deffo recommend going to the show if you can. We also got £200 off the pram we wanted and a free mattress thrown in with our nursery set. I think the next one is at Birmingham. It was well worth it. A great day out too.

    I've checked my notes. The femur length at 20+2 was 8 ft 6 inches. Only joking!

    We can't but help worry about our babies, lovey. Every little thing is a source of anxiety. I'm obsessed mine's got a freakishly small head. Long legs, a fat tummy, and a little pinhead - I'm giving birth to a (brainless) ragdoll :(

    Trust the sonographers and the other medical staff. If there was a problem, they'd have told you. But they didn't. So there isn't. You've just got to have a bit of faith x. And stay away from bloody google :D

    You're right - you're absolutely right.
    Thanks! Gotta stop worrying and continue enjoying this pregnancy!

    Hey AMC - sorry to hear about your giant boobie problem.

    I am pretty happy with the growth of mine. From 34B to 32D by week 10!

    My bra is really uncomfy this morning - I need to go and get remeasured but I can't go til the weekend.

    Hello AMC

    I have always had a problem with shirts / blouses, as i'm usually a 32F, so i usually go for tops with some lycra in them, and scoop necks where possible. I'm living in jumper dresses and leggings at the moment, and i'm also lucky enough to be able to wear jeans at work, so jeans and long sleeved tops with waterfall style cardis over the top.

    I always hate high necked tops and dresses so don't have any, but a friend of mine who has big boobs who is also pregnant wears scarves (not woolly ones, but the thinner pashmina style ones) that she can cover her cleavage with.

    I'm going to get the Anita in 32I today... starting to get double boob on the 32H i'm wearing at the moment (which is actually 32G as they come up a size smaller than they are labelled). A little worried about what size i'm going to end up as, especially as they're biggest just after the baby is born! Basket ball nets maybe? :o

    Happy Monday everyone xx

    Hi everyone, I think my new bras are starting to get a bit tight too! Am dreading getting new ones as Mothercare were rubbish when I went to be measured last time!

    I have started getting pains in my hips (am 19+1) so seeing the doctor tonight as I think it may be SPD and I want to get it addressed sooner rather than later!

    Can't believe I'm nearly half way there! Hubby put together the furniture over the weekend, I couldn't stop him! It looks lovely, I keep going in there and looking at it!
