Yay! Congrats on your scan Jedi!! :j:j
That's awesome news !
Sorry that you are sick twinlke - I hope you get better soon.
rjh - I haven't been very emotional at all which is really weird cos pre pregnancy I was a total crier. I would cry at anything. Now I don't even cry at OBEM! I'm turning into a hard nut.
kitten pie - welcome! it's great to see you over here.
It's our 20 week scan today and I am exactly 20 weeks today. So halfway through. I can't wait for the scan - I'm so excited. I just can't wait to see the baby again. I'm pretty nervous actually that they will find something wrong so I am quite anxious to get it over and done with. My appt is at 1.50pm and I think we might go and look around the shops after. I will try to get online this evening to update you all.
Lots of love to you all.

Me too. I found this thread the other day. It's got some useful info on it, and I guess we could resurrect it if we need any more help."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Hello, I had my scan yesterday which dated me at 13 w +1 so I can officially join you guys now :j
My scan yesterday didnt go too well, we saw a specialist as we lost a pregnancy to Edwards syndrome last september so had a more thorough scan.
He found the umbilical cord has only 1 artery rather than the normal 2, last time round this was one of the soft markers that initially detected the Edwards. This time round it was all that he could find.
We decided to wait for the triple test results to come back and have another scan in a few weeks to make sure the baby is growing at a steady rate and no other anomalies are found. If all goes well we can continue with the pregnancy and only need additional scans to check growth later on, if anything else turns up I will need an amnio.
At the moment I am going to have these next two and a bit weeks pretending everything is fine until im told otherwiseI refuse to believe we are THAT unlucky !

Good luck MrsE!
Welcome mishka. I hope everything goes well at the next scan - try and keep positive. Easier said than done I'm sure!
I'm 15+1 today. Am exhausted, have been signed off work for a few days as I had been feeling so rough. I just want to enjoy being pregnant!
Time seems to be going very slowly, would be nice to be at 20 weeks and the half way marker. Not long I guess!0 -
Hi all,
Well we had our scan and it went very well. All of the measurements are fine.
The head circumference and abdominal circumference are below average by not by loads.
The femur measurement is short. It is at the bottom of the chart but not off the chart. I must admit to getting a bit freaked out by this- but the scan lady said it was nothing to worry about. I am only 5ft4 and I do have short legs and a long body so I guess the baby takes after me.
Of course I'm worrying though. That's what I'm like - a proper worrier.
Mishka - got everything crossed for you. xxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Thanks fluffnutter, I was just thinking about nappies today! I'll look at that thread later as have a migraine just now and thinking about going to bed early.
I grew up in a house full of washable nappies as I had three younger siblings. I can remember they were constantly getting washed, dried and ironed - I'm not sure if I could cope with that!
Are reusable nappies actually cheaper to use? By the time you add electricity, water, detergents, etc do they actually not come out more expensive?
And another question: were you given any measurements during the scan? All I was told is that everything seems fine and that the baby is about 320g (that was 20w5d). The scan lady didn't even want to tell me how long the baby is0
