Does it not have measurements in the green notes? I'm only 14+4 so I don't actually know the answer to this...it's a genuine question. :)

I have always got the measurements from the green notes.

My consultant just tells me if it looks good and growing well etc. No actual measurements are verbalised.

Oh, I don't have my green notes yet. My MW appointment is next Friday so I'll probably find out then.

That's good, Mishka. Our screening bloods were last week and I got a letter today saying we were low risk but didn't say the numbers. I thought so as they hadn't phoned us but of course, we could always be the one!

I'm glad to see you and Kitten_Pie on this thread, fingers crossed for you both re: tests etc :)

Thanks fluffnutter, I was just thinking about nappies today! I'll look at that thread later as have a migraine just now and thinking about going to bed early.

I grew up in a house full of washable nappies as I had three younger siblings. I can remember they were constantly getting washed, dried and ironed - I'm not sure if I could cope with that!

Are reusable nappies actually cheaper to use? By the time you add electricity, water, detergents, etc do they actually not come out more expensive?

And another question: were you given any measurements during the scan? All I was told is that everything seems fine and that the baby is about 320g (that was 20w5d). The scan lady didn't even want to tell me how long the baby is :(

I think reusuables do work out significantly cheaper even when you take into account washing. And I don't think you have to iron them these days! They're not terry nappies. As far as I'm aware they're shaped like disposable nappies, and you put a disposable liner inside. You then wash the nappy, but you don't need to iron it, or create a nappy-shape out of it (waaaay beyond my origami skills :D).

Re. measurements, I don't think it's overly common for the sonographer to tell you. They just put it in the notes. They take a few - a couple round the head, tummy circ, and femur length. In my notes there's a horizontal line for each with a dot where my baby is on that scale.

She did happen to mention that he/she had really long legs, but only because they were off the scale - she didn't say anything about the other measurements.

silly moo - i was told the same, baby weighs 345g - not even a pound yet!
i looked at my notes which have measurements FL 31.8mm, HC 176.8mm, AC 155.7mm - i guess one of the last two measurements is the length of the baby:)

i am trying the reusable nappy route as well - went to buy the offer of bambino mio nappies from mothercase was £30 down from £100 and the offer is off grrrr

went to NCT sale yesterday, was really busy, brought a few toys for when baby is 6months + . really went to buy mat clothers but there wasnt much there so just got a vest top. next sale in my area is october which should be great as baby will be here and we will know what gender to buy clothes for 6m+
