God no wonder my baby came out like a zombie. 2 codeine, 2 pethadine injections and an epidural

I had my 16 week appointment with the midwife today (although I'm 17 weeks today!) and heard the heartbeat straight away, was fantastic! Have not felt any movement so far so it was a big relief to hear the heartbeat.

Just wanted to share a Mamas & Papa's deal -- I joined their "club" a couple of weeks ago and they emailed me a £10 voucher! Then I requested a catalogue and they sent me a £5 voucher inside the catalogue. Then they emailed me yesterday asking me to fill in my baby's details and they sent me another £5 voucher! It doesn't say that there's a minimum spend and I assume you can use the vouchers together as it doesn't say otherwise, so I'm going shopping on Wednesday and will see if I can spend them. Will let you know how I get on!

Hey all, hope you are all good. It's really miserable here, raining and snowing at the same time! Was hoping to plant some seeds I've got for DD, only managed to do sporuting beans as been hiding inside all day.

We did some baking instead though, rock cakes, choc biscuits and choc and white choc chip muffins. Doing a roast for tea and getting stuff ready for stew in the slow cooker tomorrow, am working 4 days this week so need to make sure its easy meals this week.

Have another cold, third one since December, had enough of them now.

Had an appt with the consultant on Thursday and all went really well, she made me feel much better about my ability to carry the baby to term and try for a VBAC. Had a quick scan too and have been put on aspirin until I have the baby to try and stop an abruption from happening again, although there is a 10% chance it could happen again (but 90% it won't) and my waters are no more likely to leak this time, just need to be very vigilent about infection as this was probably what caused it last time.

Hope your appt went well Laura, and everyone else is good too

Gemma - appointment went fine, i am 99% sure everything will be fine wont know for sure until scan which is on 14/30, a consultant is doing the scan and i used to work for him as a secretary so i am quite happy. have felt baby kicking since thursday last week, which is a really good sign. As babies with arthrogyposis dont tend to move around a lot in the womb. glad to hear your appointment went well, hope your mind is more at rest now :)

went to visit mother in law today and she has a drawful of stuff for baby, i will not need to buy any clothes 0-3 as she has brought enough lol she has brought a grow bag and brush, nail clippers etc so lots off my list. she is so excited as it is her first grandchild.

have been looking into reusable nappies, the mio ones on kiddicare website look good, love all the fun colours, also watched a video on utube to see how the reusable nappies work, have a better idea now.

hope everyone is having a nice weekend, crap weather here today, hope it clears up over the week

when did other people feel their baby move? it was at 18+3 for me....feel the strange feeling most days now :)

First movements for me were very early. When I was bang on 15 weeks but I kind of ignored it thinking it was wind but by 16 weeks it was obvious what it was when it felt regular and the same sort of time of day! By 17 weeks it was stronger. Now hubby is sad he can't feel it yet and we are 20 weeks. When did everyone else's man feel it?

I started feeling the movements myself around 17 weeks, regular and frequent by 18.

In terms of feeling them on the outside it's just started in the last few days (about 23 weeks). OH felt the first kick a couple of nights ago and burst into tears (he does that a lot, bless him :D).
