Thanks to rakkibeth and ginvzt for your comments about headaches. I'm glad you've solved your headache problems :)
My husband has suggested that it's my medication - pregnancy reduces the effectiveness of the anti-epileptic I take so I had to increase my dose which could be why I get headaches at roughly the same time each day as I take the medication at strict times.
I'm watching my diet just in case I can find a dietary cause as that's something easily altered whereas I cannot change my medication.
I'm drinking as much as I can as I am susceptible to dehydration headaches and my BP is naturally low.

Ginvzt I'm glad everything looked well on the scan. One of each would be lovely, do you have another scan booked?

I'm 20 weeks and don't feel much which makes me paranoid so really looking forward to the next scan (6 days!) so I can know things are ok and I can tell the world and start shopping :)

    Hiya!!

I'm just popping my head in to introduce myself. I am MrsExcited and am 12 weeks + 4 days with our first baby. I had 2 mcs at 4 & 5 weeks last year so now I am past 12 weeks I feel like I can finally live up to my name and be very excited!

We had our 12 week scan on Friday which was amazing. Our little baby was bouncing around all over the place and kicking it's little legs and waving it's cute little arms around.

My due date is 3rd August which seems like a long way away but I'm sure it'll be here before I know it.

I have told almost everyone now. Work were great which I was a little worried about as it's a small company. Tonight I'm gonna tell two of my oldest friends from school and then I'll be able to do the Facebook thing.

Did any of you guys tell on facebook? How did you do it?

Looking forward to joining in the fun with you all.
    love

My friends put how many weeks and days as their status and waited for people to guess/ask.
Don't know what I'll do - it may depend on the gender of the baby if we find out.

Hello ladies :hello: especially new ones :hello:

First off, amazing orgainsation Dizzi...I'm 'well jell' to coin a phrase!

Like many, we aren't buying much until 20 week scan (17 days and counting!) but we got an absolute bargain on ebay over the weekend...brand new moses basket, stand and bedding for £20! Its so beautiful :) Hoping we'll have similar luck with a Quinny travel system as we both really like the Buzz...but still looking between £300-£400 second hand:eek:

Lovely news Gin, will you have another scan soon as its twins?

Regarding facebook I put "....are going to hatch an egg in June 2012" :D

Hope everyone is keeping well, I'm still having a major burst of energy and generally feeling good, so much better than 1st trim...but I'm so emotional its getting ridicious! I also started an aqua-natal class this week which was great.

    Lots of love

  • Hi all,

I have my 20 wk scan tomorrow (when I'll be 20 + 5) and hiopignto find out the flavour.

We have ordered our oysrter travel system (kindly being paid for by my Mum!) and my sister has also kindly said she will buy us our cot bed and baby bouncer which she has already ordered.

But we ourselves haven't bought much. We've bought a breast feeding kit and a newborn baby starter pack in the Asda baby sale. And I've bought bag clips for the travel system... Again like many of you we wanted to get buy the 20 wk scan.

I definitely feel Mini Me in there now.. lots of flutters over the past few nights.. it tends to be afternoon/evening or at least that's when I notice it.

Re: facebook - just put the scan pic up and due date..

Pah! I thought nausea was supposed to confined to the first trimester?
Laura I think I may be coming out in sympathy - spent the evening feeling nauseous and kept waking up wanting to vomit (though not actually managing to).

Though it may that baby has moved and is kicking my stomach (is that possible? - despite studying biology/anatomy I'm a bit hazy on the precise location of organs in relation to the womb :o)

My 20 week scan (actually 21 unless this scan changes the EDD like the last one did) is on Monday - it's at 830 so have 4 sleeps (or 95 hours) to wait. It's worse than waiting for Christmas/my birthday!

I'm guessing I wouldn't be as bothered but we've decided not to buy anything or tell most people until after this scan due to potential issues and the desire to shop and tell the world is getting really strong.

Hope your nausea stops and your scan goes well, it was amazing see the baby the first time :)

Your small bowel's probably in the way! But who knows? It might have really long legs :D
