    Enjoy tomorrow Lixi :)

Ladis, how can I be certain if I have felt baby move? I have had a couple of moments of 'oooh thats new' but it didn't feel like fluttering, more like a very light stitch?! I'm 19 weeks tomorrow

    Txxx

Tri - I feel that stitch feeling sometimes. I think it still might be growing pains. The other stuff you describe is exactly how mine started (the ooh that's new sort of thing :D). I feel fluttering more now after a bit more time and now that I have felt definite kicks. I didn't feel it before and didn't know what everyone was going on about. Do not worry about it either way. Some don't feel it until later. Depends on your muscle density in that area, where your placenta is sitting etc.

Scan went really well today. Having a boy! Lots of lovely pics. It was very emotional!

The second trimester's that awkward time for clothes isn't it? Much of my normal stuff's too tight, but maternity stuff is still enormous! It's mainly leggings and smocks/long tops at the moment. I hate leggings. Harrumph.

    I have one of these:

I bought it awhile ago but have only started needing it this week. It works really well with my jeans and my OH didn't even notice I was wearing it because my top was over it.
I think there are lot of different types around but I got this one because it was recommended by a friend.
I haven't needed to buy any maternity wear yet.

Thank you lovely :) That's excatly how I feel. I'm even more excited about the 20 week scan now then - would be great to watch the baby and feel movement at the same time! This time in 2 weeks, yay! :)

Fluffnutter thats lovely about your OH crying (that sounds funny - you know what I mean!) :D

I'm having trouble trying to locate a maternity swimming costume MrsExcited - may have to use ebay. I definately need one now as I was almost popping out (all over!) at my aqua-natal class on Monday :o

Starting to feel the baby move (18+3) which is lovely. But he/she's chosen my bladder as the perfect organ to practise kicking. Feels soooooo bizarre!

Think we're almost done with shopping for the "essential" stuff! Want another changing bag but that's just cos I don't like the one with our pram, and a nice sling (we've got a borrowed carrier but it's a bit of a crotch dangler jobbie) and then it's just back to buying cute stuff or stockpiling clothes in larger sizes and a couple of bits I want for the nursery in terms of finishing touches!

Then it's the boring stuff like scanning in all my stockpile of teaching worksheets so I don't have to faff on keeping hard copies anymore, clearing my teaching stuff out of the coffee table crates in the lounge so I can hide a spare set of changing equipment in there and save me running up and downstairs and more washing and sorting of baby clothes - but feeling happier knowing we're pretty much setup apart from consumables like nappies and things.

  • Starting to get lower back pain and finding it difficult to sleep with bump. Am 19 +3, but is my second pregnancy so quite a big bump already! Am thinking about investing in a dreamgenii pillow - anyone tried one? Or can anyone recommend another pregnancy pillow?

Good morning, hope everyone's feeling OK.
In 21 hours I'll be having my abnormality scan and hopefully finding out that everything is progressing well with no problems :) Also may find out the flavour but not overly bothered either way about that providing baby is healthy.
Then we can tell everyone we haven't already (most people who aren't family) and start shopping :T

Have spent the last few days feeling really worn out and shaky. Going to call my neurologist tomorrow to see what the results of my last blood test was in case it's something to do with that. Though hopefully it's just pregnancy.

Last night for the first time ever I got acid reflux (at least I presume that's what it is - sharp tasting liquid coming into my mouth) but no other symptoms - my tummy felt fine. Still can taste it despite food/drink/brushing teeth but hopefully it'll go away today as I'd quite like an undisturbed sleep so I'm not too teary tomorrow.

Nesting instinct seems to have started - getting annoyed with the house being messy and want to blitz the place. But seriously lacking in energy so getting frustrated. It'll get there eventually.

    One more sleep! :)

Yea I use dreamgenii. Posted a comment on it on the general pregnancy thread this morning.
