Philips Avent 3 in 1 steriliser is on Amazon Black Friday! (if anyone is interested)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/deals-offers...pf_rd_i=468294
It is £21.99, so I think a very good deal. And even thought I promised to OH not to buy anything baby related until Christmas, I decided to go for this one. As I had £15 gift voucher as well, only paid £6.99!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Legal Blonde I wouldn't worry too much about a big bump, to start with my bump was really big for my gestation but it's evened out now and quite small, even though my baby is measuring rather large. So it can even out
Thank youI think it is just because the bump seemed to appear from nowhere all of a sudden we are all a bit surprised by the size lol

So what do you all think to the ruling that you are allowed to opt for a caesarean? Personally I think the decision is mad!!! Firstly the NHS is struggling as it is to give necessary treatment to people that need it and secondly it is a serious surgical procedure that will have you laid up for 6 weeks after the birth. Why on earth would you have one if it wasn't absolutely necessary???? Not just me is it?
I think some people who are about to have their second but were very traumitised by the first labour prefer to opt for a caesarean but as this will result from psychological considerations I think it could be considered medically necessary so I don't agree it should be an option for everyone.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Has anyone put much weight on yet? I just had my 18 week bump update from Huggies and it says I should have put on 10 - 12 pounds by now but I have only put on 5. Should I be worried? :0(0
-
NO. Don't listen to those emails, if we all listened, we'd all be 2 and a half stone heavier. I've put on about 7/8lbs and I'm 29 weeks. Infact if one more person tells me I look slimmer apart from the bump I'll be inclined to punch them. I must have looked like !!!!!! before I got pregnant, all I can say.
Aslong as your eating good, and everything else is normal, i.e you feel okay, no weird discharge, pee-ing and poo-ing ( :rotfl: ) normal, then nothing to worry about. They will check baby is getting all nutrients and growing fine at 20 week scan. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Oh good, thanks for that :0) I feel fine and eat well, pee loads and well not so good with the poo-ing because of the iron tablets!! I have my second midwife appointment on Monday so will double check with her. Oh and my flu jab monday too - ouch!!!0

You'l be fine then, my mum was still in her size 10 jeans when she gave birth to me, at 35+3, so not putting weight on isn't a sign baby isn't growing! You may be one of the lucky ones, and you say you're naturally very petite anyway, so could be something to do with it too
Don't worry about the flu jab, I didn't even feel it, arm was a bit achey for a week afterwards though. I had to get blood taken today, and my veins are so crappy they took it out the vein in my hand, it's all swollen now and I'm feeling sorry for myself! The frontier is never somewhere else. Ouch!!!! I hate having blood taken, the needle bit doesnt bother me, its blood I cant cope with!
I hope I am one of the lucky ones (as long as baby is healthy) I love food too much to be able to loose weight once baby has arrived0 -
I wouldn't mind if they could do it properly, explained to the woman today she'd need a butterfly needle, did she listen, no, so proceeded to jab one arm and low and behold, it didn't work, blood was everywhere, always nice. Got a butterfly needle for the other arm and just couldn't get a vein, so decided to use my hand, must say it was more pleasant than the inside of the arm.
You probably will be, one of my close friends, lost all her baby weight in 4 weeks and is now lighter and slimmer than she was before the baby, although I'm assuming breast feeding helped with that. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
