You can ask for it any time after 20 weeks :)

You need to give it/notify your employer 15 weeks before your due date, so by 25 weeks. I'd give the midwife a phone and see if there's anyway of picking it up from surgery or nipping in for a quick appointment to get it.

  • Thanks Gilly, will ring and sort it out.
  • Just wanted to share my Mr. T's bargain with you; bought this from my local Tesco a minute ago http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.208-2721.aspx and it came up at £12.95 instead of the reduced price of £6.50 so went to customer services and got DTD back so managed to get it for 5p - result! :0)

  • Hi Ladies,

Wondered if I can join in with you? I'm graduating from the less than 12 week thread, had my scan yesterday and beanie was having what looked like a party in my belly on the monitor :rotfl: Am 12+5 today - due date is 2nd June. Have to go back next week for NT scan as baby was in wrong position so have another chance to see him/her next Friday :)

    Hope you all well,

Morning all, I've been at the midwife today, finally met my own community midwife for the first time....not bad considering I'm 18 weeks tomorrow!! Anyway, she is lovely and gave me all the info that I should have got 10 weeks ago at my booking appointment and didn't! I asked her when I should stop wearing underwired bras and she said she's never heard of them being a problem and just to wear what is comfortable so i'll stick with what I've got and then go for non-underwired once I need bigger ones.

I told her about my hip and back pain and she said to get a GP appointment if I was really struggling and otherwise just to take it easy.

Apparently they don't listen to the heartbeat here, they just go by scans and featal movements. She also crossed out the bit in my book that said after 24 weeks if you don't feel 10 movements in a certain time period then to contact them. She says she doesn't agree with it as everyone is different and you get to know your baby and how it moves so if I'm at all worried I'm to ring, no matter how many movements I've felt. But that's only after about 24 weeks, up until then its normal to feel lots of movement somedays and none others apparently!

    Welcome to Jovichick.

    Hi Jovi,
I am sure I recognise your name :) Hello! Yes ours was having a boogie when we went lol so much so we couldn't get in right position for the measuring for DS and I have to go back for a blood test. It was crazy to see it moving so much without being able to feel anything!!

Glad for you that you are getting to go back again I am sure they will behave this time :rotfl:

I am due 21 May so just a little further on. How are you feeling?
