Just thought Id let you ladies know that if you go to amazon today, they are having a Black Friday sale, and some of the items are baby related - Ive seen a steriliser, baby monitor, and nappy stuff. and I think theres going to be a buggy tomorrow.

You only have 15 minutes to complete the purchase.
  • Sounds like it to me dizzi - I wasn't looking/listening for anything in first pregnancy with DS.

This time round I felt things from about 15 weeks.

It sounds like you have felt something, good luck and enjoy your pregnancy :)

dizzi - That certainly sounds like baby movements to me. Every pregnancy is different, so you probably are feeling the baby moving. Don't worry what other people say, and trust your own feelings.

I probably started all the talk on sterlisers too :rotfl: but I'm 30w now, and just keep popping here to chat to you all, so bear in mind some of us have bought more but are also further along. Buy whenever you're ready. I got to about 23/24 weeks and had bought absolutely nothing. :D

Thanks Twigpig, that makes me feel better about not having bought anything yet, I was starting to think I was just really unorganised!
Im planning to wait til after Xmas and get as much as I can in the sales - hopefully!

Well you see they won't have the stuff in for the season the baby's due yet anyway... hence holding off on the shopping is a smart strategic move really! ;)

I've only bought a few sleepsuits and stuff in 0-3 cos I figure they'll be the bulk of what I use, going to pick up just a couple of things in newborn (can always send someone out to do an emergency Asda run for a multipack if I need more) and stockpile ahead in 3-6 months as and when finances allow... only bought now because I've got a tax rebate and if I don't spend it on constructive stuff it'll go on crap like normal (I have noooo willpower)
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!

Haha dizziblond! So there is method in my madness!

Thats exactly the same as me, Im terrible if I get any spare money so well done to you for spending your tax rebate on bits for bubba.

I have managed to print out 3 lots of the Asda baby club vouchers so have got 3 packs of free nappies and wipes under the bed which I guess is a start!

    Hey guys,

Ooh you lot are buying things! We've kept saying not until after the 20w scan but to be honest we also have January sales in mind, that said I have no idea whether baby things go in the sales!

I have my 16 week midwife appointment tomorrow, just wondered what I should expect?

I have made a huge list of questions which I must remember to put ready as my memory is like a sieve!

We've finally agreed we do want to know which team we're on so three weeks today and we might know if we're team blue or pink! To be honest having that to look forward to is taking my mind of the worries about all being well and healthy as obviously that's the most important thing, but it's nice to have something positive to focus on!

  • I got a result on maternity stuff from DP, got the 30% off and managed to find a code for 15% off that worked on top! :0) Have ordered a coat, jumper, jeggins and a top all for £78 including delivery, not bad considering the coat would have been £69.99 on its own in the shop!

I must say, I am really disappointed at the lack of maternity stuff available on the high street, especially Next who have a lovely range on line and only about 10 different items in the store if you are lucky! I think a maternity clothing only store would make a fortune - if only I had the money to open one!
