Were also looking into using rusable nappies, so thank you ladies for the links, we'll have a good look at those, your right sparkle, it is a minefield! Our council offers you £30 grant to buy them, but need to look into the small print!
Ecoelle- wow, you have some bargains there, you can get a new matress for around £40 depending on the size you need. Were going to do this as hopefully we are having OH brothers cot.Living as simply as we can
Baby Girl Due 1/2/2016 :j0 -
Up early today as sleep illudes me, thinking of pancakes and reading a paper then watching the Big Questions show on tv this morning - as won't be many more weekends we can treat ourselves to such relaxation
Hi Pookie, yes lots to think about! Of course, for the wipes I could get muslin from ebay, cut into squares and pop into a tupperware rather than get the Cheeky Monkey set, but having it all in a set is very appealing - it may have to be suggested to friends and family! Great that your council offers a grant - Brighton is supposed tp be green, don't get why we don't have one....
Have been wanting Maynards wine gums god knows why, haven't eaten them in years, but they're so soft and yummy... my own sore and sensitive gums have helped me stay off eating too many of them though! :T:):)

Wow, that's early to be wanting one - maybe see if you can hold off until lunch, or grab one in the weekly shop? Funnily enough, I was thinking of having a shandy sometime soon when the weather is hot, seeing as I have only had 1 small glass of wine in 4 months!
I found these washable nappies on ebay, much cheaper than the big brands - will have to check out their feedback... looks good though! Reading the English of the description was enough for me to have a morning giggle...
These washable wipes seem good value for money, though I imagine anyone would want around 40 generally::):)

I think you can get Shandy tins in supermarket, don't think they have alcohol or if they do it's a tiny amount. Anyway try to think of something else, or maybe drink 7Up instead to take your mind off it and have 50% of the craving!

I'm back again, I promise I'll stop with these two week absences :P
Soooo I am 20 weeks on Tuesday and I have my scan on the wednesday and we shall find out the gender (we being myself and mum). I have decided on Baby Ruby (can't decide on middle name but I quite like my mums name Claire, is that to weird?) or Baby Noah.
Friends keep asking me what I want, I don't know! I'd love a girl, I was a nutcase of a child and I think I'd love a mini me. I had no sense of danger (ie jumping off walls) and was very friendly as a child not shy at all! A little boy, well I can dress him as superman now can't I. My boyfriend is determined to buy said baby a "Korn" babygro as its his favourite band and I have said NO! NO!
Oh yes thats a new development, wondered what peopls thoughts might me. So......Back in January I met a lad via social networking, I won't lie. He is my age (21/21ish) and we talked for agessssss before we met (month maybe). We did actually have a mutual friend I used to work with in December and we got on very well (online obviously) anyway he invited me to meet him in the town he lives in ( I used to live there) for my birthday and took me out for dinner which was fun and we instantly got on very well.
Now I will admit we kinda jumped into being together (2 weeks later it was on facebook ha) but it felt completely right? At first he was uming and ahing about how he'd react when I had the little one and I said well make your mind up now! But he really is my best friend already. I'm typically an unromantic person but its different with him. I am aware that we are both really young and all that so its different maybe to when you are a bit older but I don't want to be doing the wrong thing! Mum objected when she found out, making the point "How is he going to cope when your a mum" well I don't know! My argument is that he makes me very happy, I only see him about once or sometimes twice a week because we live 10 miles apart but we are perfectly compatible. He can put up with me really odd quirks and I can put up with him calling me "babe" (I HATE IT!)
So opinions, is it ok? I sound like such a chav I am aware, you know being pregnant with another mans child (who has now officially stated that both he and his familydon't acknowledge this little one) but I genuinely think he is helping me get through this year at uni because I am happy!
Sorry about the rant, haven't spoken to anyone about itMoney money money.

Of course it's ok! You're not some sort of scarlet woman pmsl! If you're happy, he's happy and he's willing to be there for you then that's great. I never realised that if you were single and pregnant it stopped you from forming any sort of relationship
oh forgot to mention my niece had her scan on Friday, she's having a girlTiana something... or something, eh I forget!

Abby nice to see you and good luck for the scan - mine is 2 days after yours - I can't wait!
That sounds fine to me, if he makes you happy and is mature enough to be aware of how he feels about your baby with someone else, he sounds like a nice guy who cares about you. Take it slow, figure him out and let him have some time to figure what he feels too, it sometimes just clicks and you know they're the one, so don't close any doors and see how it goes! I am a romantic at heart, left my ex which was very hard, then a few months later met the One, married him a few years after and now we're expecting our first baby. I believe in fate!
Sequeena oh that's nice, wow both her and Abby naming the baby so soon, I guess it helps to have a name to refer to! I can't help call ours Sweetpea for now as I felt it was neutral plus almost want to get to 3 names then decide when we 'meet' them maybe... who knows!:):)

If we have a boy he has a set name, Thomas Emlyn
