12 to 24 week pregnancy thread

I'm 14 weeks today, and am due 2nd September.

My 20 weeks scan is 18th April, so far away!

I think they are ok as they should just contain paracetamol - I'm paranoid about all medicines though and don't take anything so would prob goggle it.

I'm 22 + 5 today - pink bump official due date 3rd July but will be delivered 2 weeks beforehand by c section.

I had a cold over Christmas and I just had hot honey and lemon drinks and paracetamol (sparingly). I'm not honestly sure about lemsip but I decided to err on the side of caution.

Im never normally ill so think i'll just soldier through and have nap once im finished work. Just 1 hour to go. I really feel like i've been up all night and drank about 4 bottle of wine

lemsips contain decongestants(or so my midwife told me)

heat up some lemonade and have a couple of paracetemols to be on the safe side.

im 18+4 today, got my scan a week on monday!!

I am 19+2 have my 20 week scan on 15th march when I will be almost 21 weeks - still feels like aages away especially since two of my friends who are due at the same time as me are having their scans before me! So excited to find out bump flavour- im sure it's a girl, don't know why but if it is I will be buying lots of pretty dresses!

You are not supposed to have lemsips.. BUT.. boots do some similar one which do not contain the decongestant which you can have.. they are basically lemon favoured soluble paracetamol.. but it tastes like lemsip..

I had them anyway and didn't kill anyone.. the reason most drugs say they are not cleared for use in pregnancy is because they don't like to test drugs on pregnant women.. seriously how many women would risk damaging their baby for medical trials? So the majority that say you cannot use are in fact safe to take just not tested.

Im 22 weeks on Monday. Seems to drag each day but then you look back and are just wow at how quick its gone really lol. Wasnt that long ago since we told everyone at christmas!
Got just over a week til my next scan, hope babs plays nice and lets us see this time

I feel like the slow one of you all. I'm 13+3. Seem to have told most people now although not my best friend as want to tell her in person and won't see each other until next week. I also have to tell someone I know who has been TTC for about 2 years. We're not that close and only see eachother every month or 2 but I'd rather she found out from me rather than through someone else. I thought about email as then she doesn't have to pretend to be happy for me but dont know if it's too impersonal. Anyone have any suggestions for how to tell her sensitively?

I'd ring her and say that you have news and you know it will be hard for her but you are pregnant and you wanted her to find out from you and you understand there will be mixed emotions.

She doesn't want your baby she wants her own so she will be delighted for you but probably rather jealous too.. you never know she might say .. well actually... I am too
