im going to see a pram tonight, a bebecar 3 in 1 system.
its got footmuff, covers and changing bag with it.
If we get it, its going straight to my mums house. between myself and my sister being pregnant, my mums sprare room looks like a baby emporium!

Is that what they call a travel system? Sounds good to have it all in one plus with changing bag is a good package.

I'm 14 weeks pregnant today, when I stand up sometimes i get a twinge on my right side almost in a diagonal line to my bone. I also find if I really need a number 2 or a number 1 it puts pressure on my body outwards towards the front which cane be oddly painful :S

yeah its a travel system. ive been looking around and if you buy everything seperately( ie car seat, pram) then it can end up a fortune.

    Hi Anderson,

I might look for that too - would you just search for travel system online?
Also want to get organised re: mattress for cot and a car seat. I guess the car seat doesn't depend on the car? I ask because we might sell our current one in the next 3 months or so and get something bigger for when baby arrives.

I made OH chuckle the other night was was in shower and said to him that if I stand normally, I can't see 'down below' anymore :D:rotfl:I think it will get worse though ha ha - no toes viewable soon!

Am taking the Pregnacare multivits now with separate Omega 3 pills - I wonder if they are making me feel a bit fuzzy and headachy. I tried taking them with breakfast and wasn't feeling all that great. So last night took them with dinner instead hoping they would assimilate overnight, still woke up a bit fuzzy but hoping it will work out better.

Hope both you and Abby are feeling less twinges!

    hey sparkle.
i was going to look into vitamins as i havent taken anything since stopping my folic acid at 12 weeks. will need to do so.
a car seat fits any car, but you usually get a car seat with a travel system. i got my travel system last night, its a bebecar 3 in 1(flat bed pram bit, car seat and pushchair bit, which all click onto the chassis) its in excellent condition for £90.
My OH told me that if i still wanted my silver cross coach built pram then i had to buy a second hand "normal" pram.
My twinges are much better, just wish the MS would go now!

not every carseat fits every car. You could buy a carseat for your current car only to discover that in the new one it doesnt fit.

FIL's car will only fit 2 types of Britax carseat MIL is better in that maxi-cosi and britax models will fit hers.

Britax and Maxi-Cosi both have 'Fit Finders' on their websites so you can see which seats fit best.

Nice one Anderson bet you are pleased to have that sorted - not so sure your mum is with the very busy spare room he he :o:D

Thanks Jillie, so much to think about and you guys are way ahead of me on the research. I had a little look on ebay and there are some travel systems on there local to me, but then I worry I shouldn't buy one in case they don't fit whatever car we're getting next... aaagh! I love your signature by the way.

Will have to see about the vitamins if taking them at night is better, for all I know I am imagining it all! They're so pricey and to be fair we eat a reasonable diet (apart from the odd Ben & Jerrys :p) so the main thing I need I reckon is folic acid, which I still have a few left.
