aww phunkles poor you, I am very lucky with the sickness, both in this and the last pregnancy.

Are all you sicky people having girls? I wasn't really sick with my son and not this time either, prob another boy for me!!

I was constantly sick,up to about 4 months with my son. With this pregnancy(a girl) my sickness lasted 2 weeks, but have been constantly nauseous from conception to about 4 months. I still get the odd nausea now, mainly if i smell cigarettes or coffee.I don't know which is worse tho sometimes lol. X

No idea what Im having but wish it would pee off :s that along with certain smells making me retch is making for an interesting life anyway.

Just checked my toys r us order from the weekend why is out for delivery in Willenham - near birmingham when I live near Liverpool :@

Waiting for a carpet to be delivered and fitted - they rang 1hr 35 ago and said they be here in 20-30 mins :@ still no sign! And i need a wee and if i go sods law will mean theyll be knocking when im weeing :@

Sickness and gender - my mum was horrendously sick with my brother, ate loads with me, my friend was horrendously sick with her girl, another friend nothing at all with her boy, think it just depends on the person really.
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

Jannine, is this your first baby?? WHen i had DD1, there was a right screamer in the room next to me, i laughed my way through the first half of my labour at the noises she was making! There really is no need to scream (until the head crowns  ) but even then, its seconds worth of burning (also know as the ring of fire!) Dont let other peoples behaviour scare you. The noise that comes out of your mouth takes energy, which is less energy you have to use in pushing that baby out!
Can someone please update the team colours now we have had a few more scans?? thanks! xx

Hi emmylou, Yes this is my first so the noises scared me a little, but you have made me feel loads better! Whenever I've been in bad pain before I tend to go inside myself and not talk to anybody, so hoping I won't be a screamer either!

Been off work today and finding just resting very hard to do! I'm tempted to do the hoovering but know I shouldn't and I have strict instructions to put my feet up and rest!

My mum reackons that MS is almost heriditary - she didn't have any sickness, just nausea. I've been the same, nausea when hungry but no actual sickness thankfully!!

I'm hoping the same is true with stretchmarks - I shall have to ask her what hers were like. From memory of seeing my mum in her undies when I was a kid I don't think she had many. Here's hoping!

  • My mum has terrible stretch marks but has had 5 kids!! I don't intend on having 5, and they are not too bad from last pregnancy. I lost about 6 stone so was already a biggy so I have them from being a porkie pie....can't blame pregnancy for them lol

Have you ladies cracked and put the heating on yet? I haven't and my hubby is constantly moaning about being cold! He does walk round in just shorts and t-shirts though and refuses to wear the slippers and dressing gown I bought him last winter!

Think pregnancy is making me feel hotter as I'm normally quite cold, but in bed recently I've been hot and sweaty and even sticking my legs out of the duvet!

  • Evening all hope you are all well. I am one of the lucky ones an have not had any morning sickness felt nausea up till about 14 weeks and nothing since, hopefully it will stay that way. :)

Feeling lots of movement now, got my first strong kick this afternoon :)

Been getting a lot of pain in my right hip, is or has anyone else experience this? Any advice, seems to be worse after rest eg going from sitting to standing or first thing in the morning.

I'm permanently baking! Have been for months. We dont have the heating on, and the duvet has been put away since May- just a sheet, and now a light throw that DH mainly has on. I sleep the side below the window, usually without the sheet even, and with the windows open.
DH has been complaining of the cold this week tho, so may have to relent and let him retrieve the duvet from the cupboard, and i'll just let him hog it. Amusingly before bean, i was always the cold one, and constantly trying to snuggle DH to steal his heat, and now he is doing it to me.
