Morning all, cold this morning aint it!?
I really need some reassurance from you girls today. I have been feeling very worried and anxious for the past week now (hence the reason for not posting) so much so that this morning I couldn't contain myself and burst out into tears before leaving for work cos I'm SO worried about my baby
DH was very supportive and made me feel better but I just CANNOT help worrying, I don't know whats wrong with me
I'm 15 weeks today and I have my midwifes appt next week Friday. I thought my waist was thickening at 12 weeks but it's not, I'm still in my normal trousers at work, I'm still 3 pounds lighter than pre-pregnancy, my sore boobs are no more (although nips are still a bit itchy) and haven't grown at all, never had morning sickness so I cannot even judge on that, i'm also not feeling as tired anymore, i'm feeling the odd something in my lower tummy but now I think I'm imagining it now...I don't know! Someone tell me this is normal at 15 weeks?
I'm really sorry for bringing this thread down
I hope everyone is ok

((hugs)) Goppers. If you're feeling anxious give your midwife a call, she really won't mind and will put your mind at rest.
Some people take a lot longer than others to show. My best friend's sister was really small all the way through and when she was 8 months pregnant people wouldn't believe her they thought she was only about five. She didn't show properly until late.
Can you afford a private scan to put your mind at rest? Or buy one of those heart monitors (you can get them on amazon for about £25 and there are videos on you tube showing you what to look for).
I'm sure your baby is fine but if you are worried call your midwife or EPU for reassurance.

Goppers, don't worry, I wasn't in maternity wear until about 18/19 weeks and even then it was a bit baggy. I didn't feel movement until 20 weeks, so it's all completely normal xxxx
Will update the list for those that askedx

Goppers, ring your early pregnancy unit or midwife for a check up appointment.
The doppler has given me some reassurance but I would say that you cannot always hear what you need to, and that can cause some extra worry, be prepared to wait a few hours for another try with it. I used it every time I had cramp and tummy ache, which felt like most days until about 18/19 weeks.
I've only just starting to need maternity clothes at 25/40 but everyone is different, so I wouldn't worry about that. For me my waist thickened until about 14 weeks and that's when my breasts stopped growing and hurting too.
Just remember the EPU exists to help with worries like this!:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

Goppers....Its normal!
(sorry for jumping in but I tend to lurk)
I'm 23 weeks tomorrow and I haven't put on a pound yet.
I lost about half a stone between finding out and the booking appointmnent - not through mornign sickness just an indifference to food (which is very unual for me). Since then I ahve stayed the same weight.
My normal jeans still fit me and then only reason I'm buying some maternity ones in the near future is that my bump has expandedenough for them to keep riding down and its cold! so I want a tummy hugger :-D
I'm big of build and it honestly took me until maybe about 21-23 weeks to look anything but a wibblier version of myself.
The worrying stays with you and I think we all still check the loo roll automatically (hope so anyway) and ponder every niggle and odd feeling.
I didn't start feeling little bikkit move properly until about 20 weeks either (probably coz of my build).
Discuss it with your midwife when you see her but you're def not the only one who worries about not putting on weight. I was worried before my 20wk scan but everything seemed normal.
so hard as it is try to relax and take your mind off it as you will soon noticed some changes they just creep up gradually!
hope that helps

Goppers - ring the epu or your midwife, thats what they are there for and getting paid for. use them. my midwife seemed put out at my 16week appointment that I had no questions and hadnt contacted her - I blame you guys here and on another amazing forum for me having no questions for her!
I have days where I dont feel pregnant at all, and days where I worry about everything. Im going to say I presume its normal. I am in maternity jeans but that was more a comfort thing really - Ive lost weight since booking in and Id lost weight prior to booking in.Im still knicker and looroll checking though truthfully and probably will til the end(had that scare early on and too paranoid about it now to stop)
Ring somebody though?!
Does anyone know how long it takes to get the results of the quad test back? And will it be a letter or a phone call - mine was done a week yesterday and starting to think about it a bit...Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -
quad test - the blood one?
mine took 2 weeks to come through as a letter -think in my area if its high risk they ring you or you get a letter within the week otherwise you ahve to wait 2 weeks for the letter with the results.0 -

The 16 weeks blood one?!?!? I have just had my 16 week appointment now and never had a blood test. Just heard heartbeat for first time and got tears in my eyes.
Goppers I posted something very similar this week. I have felt a lot of movement but none from about sunday to wednesday. I too never had the sickness, tiredness and sore boobs stopped. I can fully understand how you are feeling. I never rang the midwife as I didn't want to pester them but the others are right, that is what they are there for......it is a long wait. I was like that before my 12 week scan too as had no symptoms, when I had the scan and all was well i told myself I would stop worrying lol. Have i?!?! NO!!!
