  • You are right Gilly. He is definitely not a man and i feel i am slowly getting there and getting over him but then he rears his ugly head.
Also am moving on Friday and need to get a lot of stuff from the house we used to share so i know i will feel a lot better when that is done and i have the sanctuary of my own house again.
Im sure that will be a positive step for me

Well Ladies I've had my second 20 week scan and I have to go back again next Thursday morning! Baby was still in the same position as last week and the sonographer wasn't able to take any more measurements! I had a walk around, had a fizzy drink and still nothing! The baby was wriggling lots and we could see it swallow which was sooo cute! :D

The sonographer said its nothing to worry about and what they have seen looks normal. If they don't get to see everything that they need to next week, I will be sent to the Consultant for another scan and go from there!

Looks like I've got an awkward baby on my hands! :rotfl:

Oh no Jannine, awkward baby or what :p When I went, the consultant seemed so much better at using the scan machine than the radiographer so when if it comes to that he/she should be able to do the job!

Well my OH is convinced its a girl now after all this trouble!! I had the same lady at my 12 week scan and first 20 week scan and she seemed very good, but the man I had today seemed a little clueless - he was checking the placenta and my cervix and said 'I think that's your cervix' I felt like saying how long have you been doing this job! Surely you should know for sure not just 'think' you know!! :rotfl:

Are you team yellow? My radiographer was saying "oh these are new machines, I'm not too confident at using them" then proceeded to tell me scary things about my poor baby, then the consultant said what she'd said was totally wrong, and her measurements were out by a good bit.

I think some babies just want to be more awkward than others :p I was at the doctors this morning, she was trying to listen to his heart, but he wasn't for having it, kept moving around. He's a little monster, I can tell! :)

Yes we are team yellow! I don't think they realise how worried they make you feel and how you over analyse everything they say! At least seeing the consultant put your mind at rest, I'm hoping baby is more willing to move next week so I know for sure that everything is ok.

    Hello All :j

    Gilly - Good result!

Jannine - surely its got to be a boy ;)?! sorry its taking so long with all these scans hopefully third time lucky otherwise dad needs to give he/she a good talking to! Its all very weird as baby can basically lie in whatever position they like and there is sod all you can do but hope they behave!!! But when they come out... the rules change:rotfl::rotfl:

Happydays - god your ex is a w:mad::mad:ker your better off without him. Hope things improve once you get your stuff sorted and as Gilly says block his number.

Dylan - Defies logic, he decided to chew the coffee table legs so I covered them in non-toxic :D furniture polish and what did he do? roll in the spray of the furniture polish like it was cow pat or something equally enticing, still the polish smells like marzipan so thats an improvement :rotfl::rotfl:

By the way dentist said that my gums looked like they would bleed but did not much at all when probed so changing the toothpaste was the right tack, so thats it for another year thank god!!!!!!!

Happydays sorry you're having trouble with your ex. I think as others said you should get his number blocked.

I'm still having weird discharge. Most of the day it seems to have been normal discharge mixed with old blood as it was a pale orange/brown colour. There have also been some flecks of dark brown blood.

I felt a lot more positive earlier as it was either the orange/brown discharge or normal discharge but earlier this evening I started getting the brown flecks so my positivity has been dropping.

I keep trying to tell myself that every medical professional I've spoken to has said brown blood is nothing to worry about neither is light red at this stage. But the none rational scared part of my brain says that I spotted brown for days with my mc before it went red.

I tried to call my midwife today but I must have phoned just after she finished for the day as her phone was off. I know she's going to tell me pretty much the same as the one I spoke to on the maternity ward on Sunday but I'm hoping she will be more reassuring and not make me feel like I'm being silly. I know I'm probably being silly but I just need some reassurance.

I'm sorry I've done nothing but go on and on the last few days.

I hope you are all well

    xx
