Emsbet you need a big HUG xxxx. I agree that you should ring your midwife for reassurance. I'm sure all is fine but if your worried then you should talk to someone who can put your mind at rest. Give her a call first thing in the morning, that's what they're paid for after all!!

    Thanks guys.

I tried to call this morning but she was busy. Like an idiot I didn't leave a message, planned on calling back an hour later but then it seemed to clear up and by the time I was worried again it was too late to get through to her.

I will try ringing her first thing and hopefully get through. I think I might take the day off work tomorrow and just try relax and lie down as much as possible.

    Oh big hugs emsbet.
It sounds a good idea to take the day off tomorrow and try and relax and get hold of the midwife. I am sure everything is okay but i think you should seek some reassurance from her so that you arent constantly stressing yourself out. And in the meantime just try to chill out and try and take your mind off it. Easier said than done i know!!

    Morning Ladies and Bumps,

Emsbet can you not self refer yourself to the pregnancy unit? Our is up to 14 weeks then after 14 weeks you got the antenatal day unit, At least then you can get properly checked and hopefully if they scan you they can see where all this is coming from, when I had issues at 16 weeks they listened in and eventually scanned me and let me know baby was fine xxx

I'm not sure. I called the maternity unit on Sunday and they said I couldn't go in unless it was heavy. I think the EPU won't let you self refer.

Been trying to contact my midwife- she's supposed to be available from 8am- but her phone is switched off so I can't even leave a message. I'm going to leave it until nine then I will try again. If not I'm not sure what to do as I feel as if the hospital will just tell me to naff off if I call again.

It's watery brown blood every time I wipe now with some more solid bits (only small). I just feel very on edge and emotional and a bit like no one is there to help :(

emsbet - definitely go to the hospital if you can't reach the midwife.

someone on my babycentre board just had to have a stitch up her foof as her cervix was starting to open at 19 weeks. She is on bed rest now and baby is doing fine.

ask to be scanned to make sure everything is fine and to measure the cervix
    good luck!

I think they are reluctant to scan me as I had one two weeks ago and I think they believe there is no need.

I hope I can get through to my midwife as she is nice and I think she will be a bit more reassuring.
