  • Hi DogLover and welcome! Don't worry I was the same when I left the 12 week thread, but post any and everywhere, we're all chatty and all interested in the same stuff as eachother of course.

I know what you mean about time dragging but also going quick - I am trying not to wish it away as it's such a special time, but then again wishing it away as can't wait to meet our little one, we'll be a 'proper' family then, as the cat doesn't quite count (to other people!)

i thrid that, i can't believe how fast time is going.

of course i can't wait to meet our new little one, but a couple week after baby due my dd with be starting yr 3 at school ds1 will be starting yr 2 and youngest in nursery. and for me that just makes me feel sad that they are growing up so fast. My dd is 7 and i feel like the last 7 yrs have flown by so fast. I'm also having my 30th this yr. and i don't mind the age i am, but i met hubby when i was 19 and i just want time to slow down a bit so i can enjoy it even more.

Every day is busy even if it is just the normal school runs , looking after youngest and household duties that each day flies by. weekends is family time when hubby is home and those 2 days seems to only last a few hours it goes so quick. The children always have something they want to do which is great, but being busy means every day is over in the blink of an eye.

i wouldn't change any of it, as i'm very lucky to have such a fab hubby and children and i do love every min but why does it go so fast.
  • Hi jcr I am a first time mummy so can't relate as such, but I can relate in as much as focusing so much on my full time job means time flies by and I only live for the weekend sometimes. I am hoping that bubs will bring a reality check and show us wha's important, shifting how we see what matters etc. It will also be a challenge re: finances etc but all of us at least have time to prepare I guess! Think of all the exciting experiences your kids are going through now and will do with school, so much of an adventure for them and a new stage, they will have so many stories for you!

Apricot I meant to ask, how is your dragon-line boss lately?

oh yes they certainly have stories, lol.

i have loved every stage of being a mum, even the midnight feeds and you feel so drained and you can't function to even remove the lid from the bottle, lol. but when baby looks and smiles at you, you realise does it really matter if i wake up half hour later and i'm late for something. so if i forget to put the milk back in fridge after making a cuppa. whats most important is spending family time. being together ans enjoy everything. even if have no spare money and you spend weekends at park or beach with a picnic from home.

i don't regret for one second giving up my nursing job to be a stay at home mum. yes money was less, but whats i've gained from being a mum and being there for every stage is priceless.

Evening ladies. I've just had a phonecall from the hospital to say they want to see me tomorrow to discuss the results of the NT screening. I'm guessing this isn't good. Anyone else been called back and any advice as to what they may want to tell us, or what questions we might need to ask? Thanks in advance.

Ecoelle I know it's ridiculous to say but don't get yourself worked up. It may be that your hospital is more hands on when telling people results and it could be completely fine.

I can't believe my 17 week scan is on 1st March. I'm excited and scared... praying the amniotic fluid levels are normal :(

It'll have been over 2 weeks since my last scan and the last time I asked if they could tell me the sex... I wonder if they can tell me this time :D

Hi Doglover Im 18 weeks and still posting all over the place!

Sparkle boss has not made one single mention of my pregnancy since I told her. I told her I need to leave early next week for midwife and she didn't reply even though I know she heard - Im not going to ask again I will just get up and leave on the day. Thanks for asking x

ecoelle try not to get worked up, these tests are not very accurate (I was told after I had it done) even if you are high risk remember for a 1 in 100 risk 99 babies will be fine xx

sequeena How come you are having a 17 week scan? Sorry if I've missed you posting why.

I've got maternity jeans on today from Asda - most comfy things ever, I may keep wearing them after the baby is born :rotfl:

ecolle easy to day but I wouldn't stress. Just wait and see what they say but try to relax. Only suggestion I have is to take a pen and paper to jot stuff down. I hope it goes ok x

Hi Apricot xx I started bleeding at 14 weeks. Had a scan at 15+1 and baby was fine but my amniotic fluid was lower than they like so I'm going back for another scan to check how it is x
