I've had to buy a couple of pairs of extra trousers with stretchy waistbands, so I now have 2 pairs of trousers for work and 2 for weekends, have to be pretty organised about washing! Not had to get official maternity ones yet but I've started looking on ebay for some now.
Might have a 2nd hand buggy on offer from a former work colleage of my husband, which would be really useful. She's just had her 2nd child so is needing to upgrade to a double buggy. She is unfortunately about 4 hours away from us now, but it'd be a nice excuse to go and visit
Hope everyone is appreciating the cooler weather (at least it is here) despite the rain!0 -
I'm not in maternity stuff yet, just aswell really, ordered a tshirt 2 sizes bigger than normal when I was about 7 weeks and my boobs don't fit in it
Good news about the buggy Bluebell, I really don't know anyone who's had kids recently who could pass stuff on which is abit rubbish, but anything I do buy I'm planning on buying quality so I can keep it for the next one, if that situation ever arises :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Glad I'm not the only one then, thought I was getting ahead of myself!
If anyone needs perking up you should check out this Netmums.co.uk forum, it had me in stitches, it's funny things said in labour and no doubt I'll be adding to it in about 5 months time! :rotfl:
(Not sure if this link will post, if not you should check out the website anyway, it's a good one)

Hi, i feel weird typing here as i still can't believe i'm pregnant so will prob just lurk, im 13+3 today due i think same day as Gilly, Feb 6th, Just wanted to wish u all luck and mention Newlook has a fab Maternity sale, i got loads of pretty tops for £3 and lovely skirts and trousers for a fiver, spent £50 and came back with a bag full of some really pretty bits.
My baby is an ivf frozen baby, technically my baby was made 2 years ago!!! Baby was a twin but we lost twin at 7 weeks, which they say is normal, I had 12 week scan last week and had all the tests, my results were 1 in 27,000, which was a relief as i'm a slightly older mum to be (39).
i have lurked and followed u all from the less than 12 week thread, just was scared of jinxing myself by admitting i was actually pregnant

I'm quite blessed as a comper i have met some fab mser over the years, one has already won me a super state of the art type pram, it's def worth looking at the baby comps as they get less entrants.

I've been lurking for a while... but thought I'd start contibuting as I've found this thread to be very helpful. I'm now 14+3, due 30th Jan.
Things havent been plain sailing I had a CVS 2 weeks ago as I had a 1 in 2 chance of Downs plus the 3 other most commmon abnormalities, but that has come back all ok, just waiting for the rest of the test results and another scan at 16 weeks. I've found great strength from reading threads like this to help me work out whats going on.
My belly is starting to grow and luckily with this warm wether i can wear loose fitting dresses as all my trousers are really tight when sitting at my desk, going round with my flys open isnt a good look.

I'm not in maternity stuff yet, don't have a bump to speak of, apart from the tummy that was already there :rotfl: but have been living in dresses mainly as I've started to not like having a waistband or anything digging in. I think I'm just going to look at getting maternity stuff off ebay, or will look at sales as I don't want to spend a fortune, I'd rather save my money for good baby stuff!
I've bought a couple of bits from a friend of mine who has a little boy, and borrowed some bits from a colleague at work (things like a bumbo, which is good to have but will only be used for a really short period of time!). I have other friends who are pregnant now as well, so we may swap stuff between us. My brother and sister-in-law have got an 8 month old but my SIL and I don't really get on half the time so am not expecting her to be offering to lend us stuff! Due to a recent fall-out where she said some particularly spiteful stuff to me, my husband has said that he wouldn't borrow stuff off her even if it was offered!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Oh and welcome to toniq and scaryg
Glad you find this thread as useful as I do
It sounds like you've both been through quite a lot over the past 13/14 weeks so I hope the rest of your pregnancies goes smoothly

Hello All :j
Welcome to those graduating from the less than 12 weeks thread, lurkers included !!!!! :j
I am a bit behind with the thread.

- sorry to hear your troubles with regards to your friend I have pcos too, she will come round but I would give her plenty of space perhaps email her but leave the ball in her court. Things I have learnt are that the clear blue fertility monitor was useless for me, clear blue digital ovulations tests were very accurate (first month I used it  and now there is mousey!) and I am convinced that the pregnacare conception tablets also helped. My cycles were long but roughly regular. I am also convinced that reducing stress is very important.
This website is also good for those with pcos particularly the forums

I had my 16 week check yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat for the first time which was lovely.
I did get one shock though apparently my blood type is B- (quite rare) and it is Rhesus Negative so Mozzy I am going to get injections too  I know there are others as well, apologies that I cant remember names my minds gone awolWe are not sure but think hubby is positive although we will check his records ohh well there was always going to be something but it does mean my hubby will probably be even more catatonic now:(

Welcome to the newbies!
Has anybody else here tried hypnobirthing classes before? I'm thinking of signing myself up for a course. There is a lady in my area that runs one, but they are quite exepnsive (£300.00!) My hubby thinks its to much and we should just get a CD from Amazon! I suppose it would be a waste of money if I ended up having a c-section! I'm just starting to feel nervous now, think I'm reading to many birth stories and its scarying me a alittle!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

My cousin (who recently had #2) really raved about doing a hypnobirth course, and regretted not redoing it before having her second. I have been sent details of an online course, which i am very tempted to do - cheaper than a class, and you can repeat it as often as you like. I was sent the info from a very good hypnotherapist who i've seen before for other things.
This is the link if you are interested.
