Had another scan this morning, everything is going well, baby wasn't being very cooperative though, the spine and head were really clear :)

Got an interview this afternoon so fingers crossed it goes well.

I'm so jealous of everyone finding out genders, I can't wait to find out, knowing my luck my baby will have there legs crossed.

    Hey girls,

    Hope you're all well.

I'm 16 weeks today so only 4 weeks until I find out if we're team pink or blue :) It feels like it's flew in but dragged in at the same time because of the ms (which still hasn't !!!!!!ed off) if that makes sense lol. I was cheered up by the fact that I won a £50 primark giftcard in a comp yesterday :D

I'm definately seeing the bump now especially because I've lost weight it sticks out more. I had my first midwife appointment a couple of days ago and I heard little beans heartbeat for the first time, i had a big smile on my face and can't wait for the 20 weeks scan now. I was wearing maternity jeans to the appointment with the fabric that covers the bump and my midwife thought I was wearing 2 pairs of trousers lol. She said she wondered why they were comfy on me since i don't have a massive bump yet but they are soooooo comfortable but now I feel like am I too early on to be wearing these now? :L What do you girls think?

I've starterd looking at prams and it seems like there is so many but I can't really see any I like or know which one is best but at least I've still got plenty of time to find one.

My sister is Ashleigh and shec absolutely hates it.. she says she has a boys name.. which was not helped by the LA sending her a place for the all boys school!!!

I am a christmas baby and would have hated being called Holly or anything else with christmas connotations even more than I hate the name I have...

OH thinks we shouldn't get a pushchair over 10kg as it will be too heavy for me!
I'm going to sound like a dumb blonde and typical clueless first time mum(lol) but with a travel system car seat do you always need to buy a base for it?

Got to admit I wouldn't buy one of those, they are very clunky and have a horrible plasticky rattly push, by the time the baby is 3 months you can hear them coming down the road a mile off :o I had one for DD1 (so almost 9 years ago) and never again.

No you don't need the base, lots of cars aren't compatible with the bases anyway and they can all be strapped in with the car seatbelts.

Is most of your use in the car? I'd suggest an unbrella fold one if so, that Graco one folds flat and is a massive beast of a thing folded.

I like the 3 wheelers like the Nipper 360 (although that folds flat too!) and jane slalom pro which I've got for Squeak, but I don't drive and for the odd time it goes in the car OH lifts it in.

    Ebay!

The Discount Baby Store in Holdenhurst Road has a lot of buggies, and the staff sounded knowledgeable when I rang them. Give them a google for the exact location :) I'll be there with OH at some point as they have the P&T and Britax b-dual, and I want to compare them to Squeaks for size and weight :)

I only went into mothercare in Poole once, I think there's been a new store since then!

Thought I'd head over from the other board and say hello :) Just had my (rather late) 12 week scan and been dated as 13+5, so baby due on 3rd Feb! Baby was being incredibly awkward to scan, as it kept curling up, but they got there in the end. Hope it behaves better at the 20 week scan!

Slightly odd question... if a car doesn't have to have seatbelts because it's so old, how does that relate to the laws on child seats? Any ideas? Admittedly we'll just get seatbelts fitted in the rear if we keep that car, but I was just curious...

I had a scan today too Bluebell I'm 13+2 so we're close together. My baby was apparent right away but wasn't behaving itself to get a good picture, the midwife even said ooh you've got a lively one there :o
