Twigpig, I've lost 3kg  don't know how, probably cutting down on all the crap I used to eat.

If in doubt go for 0-3, especially if you really like it and want it to be worn more.

I had some newborn bits for DD1 who was 10lb 2oz, no chance was it going to fit her lol. She had great long arms and legs.

Squeak ended up being induced at 37weeks and was 7lb 8, me expecting her to be a biggun had no newborn at all... fortunately as she was born on OH's payday he`then had an excuse to go shopping for baby things :D he's a big softie really, spoilt us both rotten all the time we were in hospital, and was very good after we got home doing all the housework and running about.

Anyway I'd say get a couple of newborn sleepsuits and vests. but not a whole wardrobe, you can always get more.

Thanks Delain. I don't think we will have a big baby - well i'm hoping anyway as i'm quite petite i don't think it will be possible for me to have a big baby!!:rotfl:

    I've gained 5lbs - Still only got a small bump at 18+4!

mozzyc have you gone to the docs about the constipation? You tired eating more fibre?

I'm 5ft 7ish and (as well as being chubby at the moment) am quite broadly built, wide shoulders/hips, I don't think you'd get my skeleton into size 6 jeans :o and I have heard that petite people have smaller babies. You're lucky to be petite though, if I slim any smaller than a 10 I tend to look malnourished!

I'm 5'7 too Delain and broadly built, does this mean I'll have a heifer? :(

In saying that my OH was the smallest of his 3 siblings and he was almost 9lbs

    Not necessarily!

Whats worth mentioning is that I was never previously offered a GTT and have a long family history of Diabetes. After DD1 was born at 10lb 2 you'd think they'd have checked with the twins (who were born big for dates) and Squeak who probably would have been 10lb if I'd been left to go 14 days over like the first time!

I actually ASKED for a GTT with Squeak and was basically told not to be silly, the MW left and we had a new one for my 36 week check, who read through my notes and asked why I hadn't had one, and was somewhat mortified to hear I had a family history and big babies, and asked for it was was told no :o

She did book one for the following week but by then I was already in and out of hospital with other carp and was induced about 3 days after my GTT would have been :rotfl:

They have arranged one for me this time though :D without me asking :D

    HI

Yes, and spoke to the midwife. I've taken lactulose, fibogel, dried fruit, bran..........
Just looks like I am set to suffer.

I have put on weight quickly, but thats because before falling pregnant I lived on weight watchers microwave meals, and kept a nice steady weight. But I do believe that most of it is bloating. I'm having bran for breakfast, fruit, sandwich for lunch , fruit and then dinner. So not sure why is coming on so quickly.

Although I know I've only gained 3lbs so far, it feels like a stone and a half mozzy, so I'm sure it's all just bloating like you. I thought maybe by 12 weeks, it would have gone down a bit, but it hasn't. I haven't had morning sickness, and I guess people who have that bad probably lose some weight in the earlier weeks :rotfl:

You should be careful not to each too much fruit as that can bung you up. Try swapping out a bit of fruit to see if that makes any difference. :)
