Just a list of 'essential' items - for example how many vests, how many sleepsuits etc! Plus i don't know how many newborns clothes to get or how many 0-3month old! I know everyone is prob different with getting how many off each age!

I know, this is really difficult. I see things I really like and think, do I get newborn or up to 3 months? I know I'll want to put them on when he/ she is born but they might be too big. But then most newborn clothes only go up to 10lb, and what if he/ she is a 9lb 10oz-er? Then it's a waste as he/ she will hardly get any wear out of it. I stand in Next / Mothercare etc for ages agonising over it :rotfl:

I think I shocked him, he was speechless but then he started to get excited talking about "ooh if its a boy we can do this and this" so I think he's happy.

Had such a good weekend, was so good to catch up with everyone and share my news. Just OH's family to go now!

    Hey everyone !

Hope ur all well :) been following everyone just haven't posted much me and OH have had a few problems down to his anxiety levels but they are now being treated and things are looking up for us :D we're ok am feeling some movements from beanie now am 14wks and 3days and things are going well got my screening test results this morning our odds are 1 in 4601 which was good think it helped OH to relax a little more.

Feeling a little sad today not sure why my sister has just told me she is pregnant which would be fab except she's just been withher boy/f for 2 months and they really don't get on she was already a single parent of one son (who is absolutely gorgeous) and I'm scared for her I've been to see her to offer my support and congratulate her but I am worried about it all mum and dad also don't like her boy/f coz of how he treats her so there is a bit of a shock coming to them and I'm worried about them too I sort of wish she hadn't told me first.

I'm also sad about one of my best friends who still isn't having anything to do with me since I announced my pregnancy she has PCOS and I hadn't realised she was trying until I told her about mine she is clearly devastated and I so wish it would happen for her soon she is so lovely and I miss her terribly I understand her upset I just hate the distance between her and I feel so guilty for even being pregnant sometimes don't get me wrong I love the fact that we are having a baby am just sad that she feels unable to share it with me and am really hoping she gets there soon coz I think she would come round then :(

Well thats all very depressing isn't it ? I'm not down as such just a bit sad I think coupled with hormones I think I just need a good cry !

    Speak to you all soon
    Love to everyone

Amanda.. Could you contact the friend and ask how she is getting on and tell her you miss her company and hope she is a busy bunny? So she knows you are thinking of her and just not mention your pregnancy. It is very very hard to know what to do for the best. :( Sounds like your sis has been somewhat irresponsible.. but I'm sure you will love this baby as much as her little man.. it might be the making of their relationship.. I did say might! lol

Gilly.. Glad dad was pleased with his news :D

If in doubt go for 0-3, especially if you really like it and want it to be worn more.

I had some newborn bits for DD1 who was 10lb 2oz, no chance was it going to fit her lol. She had great long arms and legs.

Squeak ended up being induced at 37weeks and was 7lb 8, me expecting her to be a biggun had no newborn at all... fortunately as she was born on OH's payday he`then had an excuse to go shopping for baby things :D he's a big softie really, spoilt us both rotten all the time we were in hospital, and was very good after we got home doing all the housework and running about.

Anyway I'd say get a couple of newborn sleepsuits and vests. but not a whole wardrobe, you can always get more.

  • Wow I feel really pregnant today!!

I am achy, sore, walking very slowly and struggling to bend down! I think it might be trapped wind or something?!

Was meant to be taking Z swimming but I think we'll play in the garden, sure my boss will understand (am a nanny)

    :(

Bubba has been moving around a little so trying not to worry.

    Morning all.

Gilly - Hope you enjoyed telling everyone. It's all very exciting! :j

Jenjade - Have fun at the scan today. Hope the little beanie plays along :)

Not much happening here. I've now gained 3 lbs so far in pregnancy. Must try to eat more fruit and veg this week. My underwear situation is getting worse as I managed to snap one of the underwires in my bra yesterday, so will really need to go shopping soon :rotfl:

    Hi Ladies

Sorry been awol lately. Still suffering really badly with constipation. My stomach is constantly sore and swollen :(

Bought a pack of newborn nappies over the weekend haha. Thought we might as well buy one thing! Going to start buying the Tesco Active Fit nappies, and all the Tesco baby toiletries now to try save money.
Also some muslin squares etc, and a few 0-3 months body suits etc, but plenty 3-6 months to be safe. If I have a small baby, will buy more when baby is born.
