Hi ladies, how are you all? I've not read back just yet, but will try to do so over the weekend - anyway, hope everything is ticketyboo for you!
I'm ok, apart from being a big hormonal mess that is... My evil witch boss made me cry yesterday and I spent the whole evening in tears, just could not get a grip. Then this morning I've been crying again, because I'm sad to be leaving Australia, sad that OH is sad to be leaving Australia, and sad that we won't be in our lovely theoretical grown up house when Squirrel arrives (we'll rent when we get back to the UK). My eyes are soooooooooo puffy, and I actually feel like I can't cope with the world today and if someone asks me how I am I might start crying again and never stop.
In other news, one of my oldest/bestest pals is pregnant (in fact she's the one I was nervous about telling her our news as she's not long before miscarried) - she's 10 weeks behind me! I'm so so so chuffed for her, but in my hormonal state I got jealous at the thought of her being able to give up work and stay at home in her lovely 4 bedroom house paid for by her lawyer hubby, whilst we'll need to rent and bust a gut to make it all work. She's also much skinnier than me, so am dreading going home and standing next to her. I know, I know, the green-eyed monster is a terrible thing. Hmpf.
OH is out playing football in a mo, so I think I'm going to head out for a swim, it's a lovely sunny 'winter' day here in Sydney (about 20 degrees) so the outdoor pool is calling. Need to sort my life out really.
Happy Saturday girls, BMxx

Morning everyone
BM - sorry to hear you're feeling down, it's understandable as you've got a lot of stuff changing over the next few months. Just think about all the family and friends who will be so pleased that you're back and all the support you will have as you start this next phase of your lifeAs for your boss, well, she is clearly an evil witch and must be ignored! Pregnancy hormones have a lot to answer for! Hope the swim helped you clear your head.
If anyone's looking at maternity clothes yet, I was just on the Dorothy Perkins website and you can get a code for 15% off if you 'like' their facebook page, thought it was worth a mentionThere's a link on their website:

Hope everyone has a good Saturday. I'm off into town to have my hair cut and also buy some wool to knit myself and my pregnant friend a baby blanket. I'll need to do her's first as she's due in 6 weeks!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
Naughty beanie!
Just back from Part 1 of our private "getting to know you" 2d/3d scan package. Could beanie have been any more awkward? "He" spent the whole appointment cuddling up to the placenta, doing a headstand, with legs crossed, and both arms curled across the face! So the placenta was making everything fuzzy, we couldnt really see the face much, and with legs crossed, we really couldnt tell what flavour beanie we are having!! The poor woman was poking, jiggling, getting me to turn to my side, and even had me jump down and bounce on the ball for a bit to see if beanie would shift, but no!
She did say she thought she had an inkling what beanie was, but was not sure, so didnt want to say if we were going to buy things on that basis. Bit frustrating, but i was kind of expecting it not to be easy to see, and we have the second part of the scan in 12 weeks time (at 28 weeks), as well as the NHS 21 week anomoly scan to see if we get clearer answer.
BM, sorry you are feeling so upset and emotional. You have alot to think about anyway with a move across the world, and add in your squirrel as well, with the accompanying hormones, its little wonder you feel that way! Big hugs for you..
Kx

Aaaah BM, I think it is understandable that your feeling overly hormonal when you have so much change and uncertainty to face over the next few months, and a huge change to your life plan.
Try and not think about your friend being super skinny, it's not a competition and as long as you and your baby are happy and healthy then that is all that matters. It is easy to be jealous of others when you are on the outside looking in at their 'perfect' life, but you don't know that it really is, no matter how close you both are.
We have finally chosen the paint for the nursery after buying some sample pots and putting them on the wall with a sample of the border. I'm so excited for seeing it doneOH is still on with prep work on the walls and ceiling though so it won't be done for a few weeks yet. We've got the builder coming to demolish walls in our room in 10 days so everything will be piled in the baby's room, which will hold things up a bit.

Yep, still under Bournemouth as far as I know! Got to make an appointment to see the neurologist, I don't know whether he'll want me put under Poole or not, or what the MW verdict on her asking the consultants was because I didn't bother with the 16 week appointment :shhh:
When are yours? I thought you could only book them after 32 weeks or something like that, or have they changed it?
Will have to look into that, gets me out of the house :rotfl:
The classes are 6th, 13th and 20th October. I didn't know you could only book after 32 weeks. My midwife just said that i should ring up soon as they get booked up early. The lady i spoke to on the phone asked my EDD and said September was full and would i like October. I forgot to ask if OH can come but im sure my midwife said he could!
Kira sorry bean was being naughty, at least you got see bean again!
BM hope your feeling a bit better. You have alot going on at the moment.

hey all,
Hope you are all well. I have been reading along but not posted for ages. I have now reached 20 weeks yeah:j
I have my 20 week scan tomorrow and hope to find out what team we are on. we are hoping for Blue:beer:
I had a rough week last week Thursday evening I was sick and it was horrid and very acidy. Disliked a lotfollowing that my very lively bump that i feel moving around several times a day seemed to have stopped moving
Saturday night was sick again same horrible thing...
Phoned NHS direct they told me to contact midwife who called me in to listen to bump. If she couldnt hear it we were going straight for a scan. All a bit scary.
Anyway bumps heartbeat was found so all okay. It is a very lively bump though as she found it then lost it loads of time and said it doesnt stay still. Yesterday evening i felt the movements again so all happy.:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

jenjade sorry to hear you havn't been well and bump wasnt moving round. Glad you saw your midwife.Hope it put your mind at rest. Not long now untill the scan.
We felt the baby kick again yesterday:)
Does anyone have a link to a good website that gives a list off things you need to buy?0 -
The main PG thread has a hospital bag list, I don't know if there is a baby list.
What did you want to know? I will say don't buy a baby bath, and actually I might even have one here gathering dust if you really want itMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

eyelinerprincess - Love that list :rotfl:
Moneysavingmamma - Hope your breast feeding goes better this time. I must admit, I'm not planning on BF for 1 year....... How long is everyone else expecting to be BF'ing?
Blue Monkey - Hope that your move goes as planned, and it's quite normal to feel delicate. It's such a big move for you both. As someone else said, try not to compare the life or your friends to yours, who knows what goes on behind closed doors......
Kira - Hope you enjoyed your extra scan even if your naughty beanie wasn't playing along :rotfl: Such a cute little photo......
Wonder_womble - Demolishing walls? Oh, that sounds like a man job. You can sit with your feet up til it's all done. Hope you enjoy putting the nursery together. We're going to start moving around furniture to clear the nursery in September. Very exciting! :j
jenjade - So glad everything is ok after your scare. ((hugs))
The time really is dragging along. Why isn't it Feb yet? :rotfl:
My hubby is being great. Very thoughtful when I'm tired and crabby, although he does keep insisting that I'm getting enough fruit and veg every day :rotfl:TTC #3..........0
