  • I'm exactly a week before you! Jj seems to be a daddy's baby, he got up early this morning and said something to me and baby was straight up!

Aww, mine quite often goes shy as soon as my other half puts his hand on my tummy, having been doing acrobatics up until then!

Anyone else not like their belly button being used as a microphone into baby... other half shouts "HELLO BABY" in on a regular basis!! lol

Mine avoids it all costs.. be glad yours is actually interested :( he won't feel it moving or talk to it or discuss names or anything.. I got all excited when he expressed an interest in which towels to buy and paid a fortune for them!

Ah Pigpen, I'm sure he'll come round to the idea. My OH did not want to talk about it until about 16 weeks, but this was because I'd misscarried our first so I know he was really worried about getting too excited or attached and something going worng again, but still, it was very annoying for me for him to not really want to talk about it or tell anyone (he only started telling people once I was about 16 weeks)

I have my 20 week scan today, really excited for it and hope it shows as all being well. I can't believe it's here already, when I fell pg I thought this day would never come. Baby is moving alot at the mo and I can feel it kicking from the inside and when I put my hand on my belly - but every time I get OH to feel for it the baby stops (obviously has good taste in that it'll do it for mummy but not for daddy :) )

WW - I was thinking alot about you last night and think it take a special sort of person to handle things the way you are doing. I know words won't help but the odds are still in your favour and whatever the out come your baby will still be loved and cherished by you both and will complete your family as soon as you set eyes on it.

Have a good day all :)

All the best for your scan today peachy, mine's not until 9th September, it seems so far away, but I know it'll come around soon enough.

Are you finding out if you're team pink or blue?

No we're not going to find out - each to their own but I want to wait for the suprise!!

Yours will come round soon enough and I have been told that after the 20 week scan the time just flies by, so I think I need to get myself a bit more organised! only have one pack of nappies and a pack of vests and that's it so far - eekk! I need a money tree to get everything I need :)

We're not planning on finding out either, I've always said I'd want to keep it a surprise :D

A friend of mine who is expecting text me this morning and said she was 33 weeks now, it only seems five minutes since she told me she was pregnant (she was 14 weeks then). She's only got three weeks left at work, it's gone so fast!

And am with you on the money tree...

Hope the scan goes well Peachy!

If you guys find that money tree, let me know:) A friend of mine who had a baby last year though said not to worry about getting too much as she was given tons of stuff like clothes and bits. Mostly just needed to save up for the bigger things.

My brother told me last night that he's just got a backdated payrise - I told him I need a buggy ;). As our babe is due in the new year I guess there's always christmas presents for the essentials, and we are already getting given a load of second hand stuff, plus I have several friends' mothers on knitting duty (didn't ask they just got excited and are making things!!)

I've got two weeks to go to the 20 week scan. We are going to find out if possible as DH keeps referring to it as a him and I've started to now. I mentioned this to mum and apparently we have both been making comments about boys and she thought we already knew. Gonna need time to get used to the idea if it is a girl...

Saw the midwife this morning for 16 week appt (at 17+4!). Nothing unusual, got to hear the heartbeat again and got all my blood test results. Nothing on the various disease tests, good iron level which was reassuring as I am vege, immune to rubella, and my blood is O positive.

    Afternoon All :j
Just a quick one as I am worn out!!!!

Dylan has been the super houdini today gatecrashing into the dining room, upstairs, out of his pen in the garden our pathetic defences lasted all of about 2 seconds. He takes great delight in me chasing him round upstairs and then me carrying him down when he promptly licks my face  it happened so many times today I demanded hubby get a baby gate :rotfl:

peace has been restored he is now asleep !!!!!!!

Its nice to hear how everyone is getting on good luck for scans!!

MIL thinks ours is a girl but dont know why but she is currently in full on knitting production and when hubby visited she carried on whilst talking to him!!!! he did say you have got almost 6 months mother! :rotfl::rotfl: she has completed one outfit and is now on a
matinee(??) jacket, she is in her 70's so this will be a truly vintage pattern :D will be grateful for anything I get, havent found the money tree yet!!!!!!!!!!

    take care all

She did check my blood pressure that was ok and checked my eyes with the bright light which always makes me cry!
