Do you think i should cancel my appointment then? I wouldnt want to deprive someone of an appointment if they needed it more. Just not sure how my work will be about me deciding i need a week off when i'm not "ill" per se am i? Just sick as a dog and exhausted.
On a different note, got my combined screening back- 1:4000 apparently, which is a relief.
Hope everyone is feeling as ok as can be today.
Kx
IMHO I'd still go - I've had two days off this week and although I feel a bit better I really need some more time off. I've got my 26wk app next week with the midwife so will talk to her about it all then.

Hi, I'm new, though I have been reading, I'm either very nearly 12 weeks, or 12 weeks last sunday, depending on whether you go by dates or scan.
I just wanted to ask, has anyone else at this stage suddenly needed to wee every single time they stand up?! I've been going a lot anyway, but this has suddenly started today and it is really starting to annoy already. I'm guessing it's something pressing on my bladder rather than an infection but don't really know? I'm meant to be going away tomorrow so just wanted to find out if it was normal before I went halfway across the country.0 -

Sounds like it might be a UTI.. by 12 weeks the baby has moved up out of the pelvic cavity so is putting less pressure on the bladder so shouldn't be an issue.. I'd get it checked just in case.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Thanks, I wondered if it might be, no real pain when I go but I do feel a bit off, though the whole pregnancy hasn't exactly been fun so far generally!
Guess it's back to the nurse again tomorrow before I go, last thing I want is for it to get worse while I'm away. Maybe I should just book myself in for every day.

No UTI, so I don't know what it is? I just feel really uncomfortable!0

I don't get pain with UTI either (I have low grade UTI's throughout pregnancy).. until it becomes a kidney infection and then it hurts.. just get a sample in.. you know if you go they'll want some anyway.. I have never known anyone be quite so obsessed with urine lol...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

I took one in this morning, she said there's nothing at all in it. All I can think is it is pressure, but seems very early to me?0

Hope everyone's feeling well.
Kira, I know people always say 'pregnancy isn't an illness', but if you keep throwing up and feel totally rough, in my book you are ill even if you happen to be pregnant too. I have taken today off sick as barely slept, threw up during night and before bed and just don't feel capable of doing my job as I should (teacher of 25 8 year olds). I have struggled in so many days and thrown up anything up to 12 times during the workday and lay down on the cushions in my reading corner for 20 mins at lunchtimes to get me through the afternoon, so I'm trying not to feel guilty, so I know how you feel. Just take the time off if you feel unable to cope.
This might sound silly to some, but I really am starting to feel anxious about my Down't result coming back as 1 in 840. At first I though it sounded ok (I'm 31 BTW), but it seems as though most people on pregnancy forums get results of 1 in several thousand, like Kira's. My nuchal measurement was 1.9mm, I'm starting to worry that as mine seems higher risk than most people's maybe it does either have Down's or some other Chromosomal conditionHas anyone on here had a similar result to mine?
Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams0 -
the nuchal measurement is usually above 2.5 (or it might be 2.3.. ) in Downs babies... so 1.9 is fine.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

i am 31 and my nuchal came back as 1 in 810. i am worried after seeing other peoples result but i don't know how old these people are who are getting the very low risk results. maybe they are younger than us??
my measurement was 1mm so i was expecting a very low result and was quite disapointed with 1 in 810. i am now worried that there is something in my blood test which pushed my risk factor higher.
I am going for my 20 week scan next week so i am going to mention it to the midwife.
I am 20+0 today and still havn't felt any movement -anyone lese in the same boat??0
