Durham05 - glad the scan went well and congrats on team blue!

Glittermonster - with my first baby, DS, i didn't feel anything until about 18-20 weeks, and at first it just felt like very faint twitches. I think it felt the same as when you feel gas gurgling about in your tummy, buta bit lower than the belly button. I'm now 18 weeks preg with my second, and i've been feeling little movements since about 15 weeks, but everything is much less firm this time around, so that's quite normal!

Do you think you've been feeling something? It is easy to miss in the early days, unless you're laying really still.

    Gilly

I'm not suite sure that's what I've been feeling.. must just've been random pains!!

Well I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow. Has gone so so quick. Feel huge already, last 3 weeks my belly has got very round. Don't see people for a week at work and they are omg.
Bubba is kicking well and can see the belly move when I'm sitting down on the sofa. Love it.
Guess I'll be progressing to the next thread. Good luck to you all and see you in the next few weeks. xxxx

Congrats on Team Blue Durham :j

I've had a big delivery of baby related goodies today from my sisters. I've got 2 younger sisters who have both had kids so I've inherited the things they have finished with that are still in good condition. Got a pram, moses basket, car seats and bases, boxes of clothes, a bouncer chair, a travel cot, several bath seats, and baby gyms. I'm also getting my niece's cot when my baby is ready to move out of moses basket and her steriliser which she is just about finished with.

I don't think I'll have much to buy which is good news as I would rather save my cash and have as much time off for maternity leave as possible rather than buy new stuff that baby hardly uses. Although looking thrugh the Mamas and Papas catalogue I'm tempted by the goodies, but it would just be a waste when I can get a lot of stuff for nothing.

There is also a box of maternity clothes to come which is good because we are all roughly the same build so that should save a bit more money.

I was on the next website last night a seen a neutral newborn t-shirt which I loved, but it has sold out :(

It's the white t-shirt that I love. I went to next today and they had a similar babygro the writing which says just hatched was really small an faint. I bought it anyway, but I prefer the other. Nevermind, they might get them back in stock.

Good luck Angel - see you in a few weeks!

Wonder Womble, that's brill! My sister started her family before me, so we get all their old toys, clothes etc... Plus people are amazingly generous when it comes to babies. People we hardly new sent us cards, pressies and vouchers when DS was born! Baby 2 should be ever cheaper to run, as we already have boxes of girls and boys clothes (my sister has helpfully had one of each!), cot, toys, baby bouncers and swing, playments etc.... Now i just have to find a brand of reusable nappies that i like, and hopefully find them cheap!

  • everyone seems to be getting very organised!

I've bought some maternity clothes on Ebay they're at my MIL waiting to be collected.

We've been given loads of stuff already as well which has been very handy a cot, car seat and toys, bottles, bath, swinging chair, bumbo a couple of people have asked already what we want, 25 weeks to go and they're already asking! Bless em.
