It seems I've graduated to this thread. Estimate was about a week off, so instead of being 13, I'm now confirmed as 14. Made it a pain to get a midwife app for 16 weeks right enough!

  • Morning - 2 questions if I may:
where is a good place for bras? And reasonably priced - think I need to give in and get measured!!

I managed to make a mess of our oven - can I use things like mr muscle oven cleaner while pregnant? I'm sure I've read somewhere that I can't!

Morning glittermonster. I have found maternity bras to be a frumpy, uncomfortable waste of money and ended up with normal M&S non-wired ones. I'm not exactly well endowed in that area so didn't need extra support, just a new size without wires.

Can't help on the oven cleaner front. I've read that somewhere too but I have a self cleaning oven - possibly the best money I ever spent!!

Hi glitter I'm not certain but I think I read somewhere not to use oven cleaner lol perhaps I just made that up though so I didn't have to clean the oven x think I'm goin to have to splash out on a few bras too will have to wait till payday so hopefully they calm down on the growing till the end of the month lol. Am glad you are having a better time of it now xx

HI, 19+ weeks now, need some cheap £ maternity tops, looked in mothercare & m&p yesterday and they were like £15 for a vest top. like i'm goin pay that.
Did manage to get some trousers yoga style ones from mothercare for £9 in the sale but bogof, and a pair of jeans from m&p for a £10 in the sale. so well pleased with that.
Goin for my scan on Monday which is also my birthday, hopefully going to find out what colour we are having, 1st time we will have ever found out & it will be my luck that bubs will be laid so we cant know what it is.

  • I'm finding lots of bargains on eBay for clothes, if you don't mind 2nd hand. Asda have a maternity dept and larger peacocks, also new look and h & m.

    Can't we wear wires?

I've worn my wired bra's right through but I know they suggest you don't. They're not getting too small so for comfort I will try to get ones without but being a 'large chested' girl I'm not convinced they will support enough!

I bought Peacocks maternity vest tops yesterday - 2 for £12 but I know George at Asda do cheaper ones if you can find a store big enough to stock them. I bought over the bump maternity jeans from Mothercare a while ago but I can't keep them up so going to get a pair of George linen under the bump trousers to live in for the rest of the summer.

Generally I'm not going to bother with maternity clothes - just buy loose styles that I can continue to wear after the birth.

    C xx (20+4)
