am now 20 weeks and being rwally emotional this week, cant stop sleeping and crying. anyone else? ive had two weeks off work as i had stitches in my hand and my hubby has been away for a week so its just me and the boys but im literally taking themto school and coming home and sleeping, havent really done any housework apart from day to day stuff cause im exhausted.
it may just be because im out of routine at the moment and it will go back to normal next week when im back to work

Thanks Mirror, it was pretty pants and now I've got crutches :(

I'm 18+6 today and have been crying for pretty much the past three or four days don't really know why but I'm not sleeping and I'm in lots of pain so probably thats got something to do with it. How did you hurt your hand?

I think taking the children depends on where you are, down here we're only allowed one person with us but they are so nice I'm sure they wouldn't mind if the children wanted to see. Perhaps give the department a call and check if they have a policy?

Just take them! Or ring and ask.

I took DD1 to ours last year.. there was a poster up saying only 1 person while they did the checks etc but others could come in after if all was ok.. so we took DD in anyway.. they'd have had a fight on their hands if they said she couldn't come in.. she was quite determined.

Are they not at school next week?

TBH I'd not take them.. it is a long time while they check and measure and if something is wrong would you want them there? They will be bored after 2 minutes.

I would book a private scan if they are that bothered.

We have no option but to take the baby with us.. with her breakfast and a stack of snacks!

hope it went ok skint catt. x

winnie i ended up puting my hand through the glass in the back door, trying to do to many things at once as usual lol, any way stitches out now so back to work monday boo hoo

feeling much better today have been out having fun with the boys last two days so have cheered up. x

re scan have phoned the hospital and they are fine with bringing children, obviously as long as they behave which at 11 and 8 mine most certainly do and hubby will be there to take them off if it goes on too long so will be taking them.

i couldnt afford to do a private scan just for them to come along so will be taking them out of school but most of its the lunch time anyway and they never have time off as a rule so im not too bothered, eldest has had one day off in two yrs and youngest has had 3 days off but that was for an op. headmaster is being lenient as well as its his wifes 20 week scan the next day which im pretty ure he is taking time off for lol.

hope everyone has a great weekends. x

    hello everyone

had my dating/nuchal scan yesterday and they said i was 13+0.

nuchal measurement was 1mm so that seems ok. they took blood as part of the nuchal test - when do you get the results?

we were at the hospital for two hours arrrgghhh!! my dh was asking me about a private scan for the 20 weeks scan as we hopefully wouldn't be stuck in the hospital for so long. anyone know about having private scans instead of the nhs ones? does the private clinic tell the nhs midwife the results etc?

congrats pebblespop glad it all ent well apart from the wait, we are generally only in our hospital about 20 -30 mins and that includes bloods

im not sure on the private scan front but im sure someone will be along soon. x

Glad it went well for you pebble. Our hospital is terrible for keeping you waiting too they have just started to charge for parking as well so can be an expensive wait - I don't usually mind but my hubby is so impatient - not too sure about private though they might be less busy but it would be a chance to take I suppose.

Scan went fab thanks - all as it should be and we saw Giblet moving for the first time (fast asleep as our 12 week, lol). Got a few more piccies & now excitedly waiting for my 34 week scan though she did say it'd be so big by then the piccies wouldn't be any clearer, lol.

On part-time hours at work now until end of May then enforced gardening leave for two months where I can't even work for anyone else as I'm still being paid full-time money until end of July - hard life but will give me a chance to house-hunt & prepare for Giblet's arrival a bit more - just hope we find a house by 1 October  Otherwise hubby & I will still be living apart :(

Cheltenham Hospital always runs slightly late but we've always been in and out within 30 minutes :)
  • My bleeding has stopped.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the weekend.

I'm busy bidding on eBay (maternity clothes)!! :)
