Hi ladies, need a bit of advice.

I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and have a nice, prominent bump which starts from where my knicker line is. Last night, I felt a really, deep tightening pain quite low down which I haven't had before. It's below where my bump is, more toward my groin region. When I looked, that region, which hasn't actually changed since before I got pregnant is now more prominent and looks like an extension of my bump. I guess i have a couple of questions here:
    1) has anyone had these pains, which are more intense than stretching pains and feel like if you sneezed, your pubic region would split open (ok slight exaggeration)
    2) where does your bump start, above or below your knicker line?

Sorry for the long winded post.

jcr.. I did tell you not to get your hopes too high.. sorry, I know how disappointing it is, I am disappointed for you :(.. but you never know things might go as you wish. The chances of a rupture are very very slim though the nerve damage to the cervix often will stop you dilating.. and what is this about pins and needles? that doesn't make sense.. is your stomach not just completely numb? Mine ruptured when I had 2 contractions with DD4 it took them 20 minutes to get her out as there was so much internal damage from the incompetant !!!!!! who hacked me open with DD3 and she has cerebral palsy.. it isn't bad but even so it does limit her day to day activity and may cause problems in the future wih fertility and mobility for example and should be a serious point taken into account in case you are the one in a thousand.

I'm 16 weeks and measuring more like 20! I think I am in for another great long thing!

I can't sleep, I am exhausted and I feel like I have been kicked in the back by a horse.. I'm so fed up and tired and sick of being hungry. The baby is waking 2 or 3 times a night due to her teeth I think.. I just can't cope with it at the moment. She just wants to wake up and scream for an hour she doesn't actually want anything. I slept downstairs last night as the minute I ot in bed she woke up and started screaming and I just needed to sleep. She isn't sleeping during the day either which isn't helping and OH won't have her :(

Bonus is we are not going to his mother ths weekend so at least I have a reprieve from that for 2 weeks more! I may be 'ill' next time lol.

    .

sorry if didn't make myslef clear, my consultant will fully support which ever choice we go with. she however thinks section is best, but she said she will be there throughtout if i do go for natural.but it has made us or me more thoughtful about it all, now we know more fact's. i know the chance of me actually splitting is very slim, but for my own desires, it does seem very selfish to risk my baby so much. we have until june to make our choice, when we have another scan and another appointment .

As for pins and needles, yes i can feel my tummy fine. it was only numb for a short while after each section. my tummy goes really tinglely like pins and needles all over it. only lasts a short while and generally get it when baby is moving loads and kicking down below.

    Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well, its nice to see the same faces here as on the <12 week thread.

Things are okay for me. 14 weeks, more than I thought, and I'm being looked after really well. Lots of scans and app's with the consultant planned and baby will be born by section at 36 weeks on 11th October. Its a little strange knowing when your baby will be born 22 weeks in advance!

I'm not sure if I will be back on here, boredom got the better of me about 10 minutes ago and decided to log in. Thank you to everyone who sent a message in my absence.

Best of luck to everyone and i wish you happy and healthy pregnancies.
