Hi loonytoons. I feel a bit like that sometimes. I thought it was because it's my first and my brain can't cope with what's about to happen/change in my life. Maybe it's hormones acting to surpress things and stop us freaking out. I went to mothercare a few weeks ago as I thought it might help me get excited but i just felt like I was in the wrong place and legged it out of there before anyone spoke to me. And in the supermarket yesterday there was a tiny baby crying and part of me was thinking I should feel sympathetic or drawn to it but I just thought "how irritating". Think I'm destined to forever be annoyed by other people's children.
I think it's normal but if you are worried then mention it to midwife. They are meant to look for signs of depression. I was going to but I feel ok in myself and am beginning to feel more attachment to this baby now I've had the anomaly scan and can feel it move.
Thanks hun. I'm hoping it's just hormones and one day i'll wake up and be all excitedI'm seeing the midwife next week, i'll see how i feel between now and then. Hope you're feeling okay soon x

oh hun, i hope your hand gets better soon. but like you say it better it happens to us parents than our children.
i remember when our dd was just starting to walk we worried so much about the glass in the lower part of front door ( when i was little the boy over road from us was runnign down the hall and didn't stop and went straight throught the glass:eek:) we had ours replaced with toughened glass. it does cost a little bit, but the cost is irrevlent if you know it will help prevent major injury for your little one.0 -
thats the thing my hubby worked in double glazing for over 20 yrs its just this is the only door we havent got round to replacing yet since we moved as the glass was two little panels at the top lol, i think thats what you call sods law. ;-)
has anyone else got an aching belly, im not sure if its cause im on my feet at work all day as well as sneezing a lot but i feel like ive constantly got pulled muscles around my tummy, am i just being strange.
looks like another nice day coming up hope everyone enjoys it. xnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
I feel like I am constantly full of wind.. yet nothing comes up, or down  lol.. so I have tummy ache too.. I am also still really constipated which is actually making me feel sick when I eat now.
Baby was evil last night and was up and down constantly so she is now screaming on the floor.. she was put down there because it is quieter than it was having her screaming on my lap. She is fed and watered and changed so it just being a grot! I hate it when they do this... I'll boob her in a sec and she can go to bed!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
